Huh? You need to explain this, please.

Do you think you insurance cost more because its financed?

No, but if financed, your lender requires you to have full coverage.

If paid for, just minimum liability the government requires. I f’ing hate insurance companies.

So you'll cruise around in a brand new 50k truck with just liability?

Ok...

Damn 84 months??!!??

Yeah, I know it's 0% interest, but with it being a Dodge, that shite will be halfway falling apart by the time you pay it off.

Wouldn’t you still come out on top if you factor in the “total” cost of financing including interest payments and fees?

Absolutely will. I’ve never made an insurance claim. I’ll risk it and own the consequences if a worst case scenario happens.

Same thing happened in October after 9/11. Lasted about a year. Take advantage if you're in the market.

How does this work for used trucks? I am in the market for a truck with ~10k miles. I sent an email to one dealership asking for their best price and he gave me sticker price. I told him to F-off.

What’s the minimum property damage coverage out there in Texas, $25,000? Another minimum limits driver like yourself, or worse, an uninsured driver, can make you have a bad day. Is it not worth some amount of money to mitigate that risk?

In normal market conditions, it is usually an either-or proposition. You get 0% or negotiated price, rebates, etc. I've calculated it out numerous times on transactions and usually zero% even with dealer incentives is usually more. However, right now, with the market conditions, who knows what they will offer. The dealer gets paid upfront on 0% or essentially the interest is in the price. You should get dealer incentives regardless because that is usually from the manufacturer if not, there are too many Dealers to not shop elsewhere.

As you should. Used inventory is just like the new. In fact, they likely have less into the used as they do the new. Trades and/or auction deals and what not.

Wholly shite, you'd pay cash for a new vehicle and then only carry liability? You haven't thought this through.

I’m definitely not paying close to MSRP for a 2019 truck when sales are low.

Pretty savvy buyer not to pay MSRP on a 2019 truck in 2020.

I bought a truck in December 2001. Had no idea that 0% was going to become the norm.

I made an offer on a Toyota fj and the woman scoffed at me then raised the price on their website. She's been emailing the last two days asking if I'm still interested.
