I made an offer on a Toyota fj and the woman scoffed at me then raised the price on their website. She's been emailing the last two days asking if I'm still interested
One of the dealerships tried to pull the “truck won’t last long. We have 2 appointments this weekend”. I looked on car fax and they’ve had the truck for 45 days. I called them out on that and they are now asking what it’ll take to get into the truck.
How much can I anticipate them coming off sticker price?

You can wiggle down on price, probably around 6-7k, but you not gonna get the 12k rebate

I got 38% off msrp.
But the lower range is probably 22%
Go for it!

How does this work for used trucks?
I don’t think they’ve gotten the message yet. I’ve inquired about a few over the last couple of days and they aren’t budging from where they are listed. If I end up pulling the trigger, I’ll probably just buy new.

Take money off.
3-4 years in if you don’t like it, you will still owe more on the 0% financing and will still be upside down

Not to wish bad things on anyone, but I would be patient about buying. If the price of oil stays down I'm betting there will be a lot of repo deals on lots before long.

Can you finance for 4 years and still get 0%?
Just do it yourself if that's what you want. Take the 0% deal for 84 months and do the math on what it takes to pay it off in 4 years.

Why would you pay off an interest free loan (pre-paid interest actually) early???

Unlike some people. I would rather pay it off in the first three years. I average about 5 years a vehicle. You think I wanna still be paying on a 7 year old truck

I can only imagine the glut of F250's that are going to be hitting the market in a few months. It might require peeling off a dozen stickers and removing a set of truck nutz, but I think you are spot on. It is coming. There will also be a free fall of boats, Rangers, and guns as well.
