Why trade for the biggest need on the team and a major compliment to our all star defensive leader?

Why improve on our young defense and use our draft picks to get the best player available?

We should've traded up for an unnecessary rookie QB who would sit behind Drew Brees for a few years. You know Drew Brees? He's the current Saints QB. Everyone has been saying "this is his last year for sure" for 5 years now. Definitely should've traded up for a QB. I mean how much longer will our first ballot HOF, world beating, record setting, Superbowl Champion, team leading, sports science redefining QB play? Why waste picks building a team around him when we could just stockpile rookie QBs on the bench indefinitely until he retires?

What could we possibly have gotten that was better with these picks?

If you think drew has 2 years left to win a superbowl (which I do), then next yrs 1st isnt really as valuable to us. What are we gonna draft next year that is going to put us over the top for the last year of Drew's superbowl contention.

Dont even start with "after drew", there a not going to be an after drew, ask the like 20-25 teams in the NFL that have never in their history had a qb as good as drew.

I'm glad they aren't sacrificing chances at this window to ensure that we can maybe still be an average team after drew.

Maybe it was too much if you dont take into account all these added situational facts, but this was literally the biggest hole on the team, and they did what they could in the last year they could have done something and had it pan out during Drew's last window.
