I guess the better question is, will Jacksonville trade their pick for Michael Thomas.

Our salary cap can't afford the first pick

No wide receiver is worth the #1 overall pick when you have a potential franchise qb. One who's regarded as the best prospect in the past decade.

But a 1st isn't unreasonable. If Brees career wasn't coming to an end, we'd have traded him before paying him IMHO

Jags due have 2 picks in Rd 1. along with 2 picks in 2nd, 1 of which is high.

In 8 games with Teddy he had 904 yards and 4 TDs

If the Jags traded the Trevor Lawrence pick away, Urban Meyer would retire for health reasons before the draft lol

Michael Thomas did just fine with Bridgewater while Brees was out last year. Thomas is a great WR, regardless of QB he will have catches, anybody who says otherwise is in their feelings over how he acts on social media (which I also dislike), but the man is an excellent WR

They are literally quoting Florio again. The same guy who said MT13 would be traded before the deadline. The same guy who claims Payton is going to the cowboys. This is clickbait nonsense.

They aren't talking about trading for the 1st pick

Urban Meyer, Trevor Lawrence and the Jaguars would probably be among the teams that would like to be the beneficiaries of a breakup between Thomas and the Saints.

I don't think the Saints would do it for a pair of 2s, when you consider the cap hit.

Jags have the Rams first as well. And 2 seconds.

Is this a subtle jab at O?

lol... People greatly overestimate the demise of the Saints. They're going to be 10-6 next year and in the playoffs and people will wonder what the hell happened because of these articles that keep talking about the salary cap...

If we put MT on the market, a team would probably offer us two 1st for him. Make no mistake about, he's that good of a possession receiver and route runner. There isn't a single system in the NFL he wouldn't instantly be the #1 receiver in, and that includes Cleveland, Arizona, and Atlanta.

That being said, it's absolutely stupid to trade him when preparing to break in a new quarterback. What he offers the offense far outweighs what you could potentially get (or not get) in the draft. 1st round picks aren't guaranteed stars - Looking at you Davenport and Stephone Anthony.

I agree with you Weezy!

And next, what team is going to offer a premium for MT13 right after he undergoes foot surgery

U mean the rams pick? Damn not sure getting Lawrence lol this a desperate franchise for a QB like Lawrence. Just giving it away Michael Thomas who was completely shutdown by the bucs

Haha. Yea were giving once in a once in generation QB away so we can have Michael Thomas lol u funny

We got 2 firsts and 2 seconds think we can find a great WR there. Also Chark and Shenault not exactly scrubs
