Are you OK with Payton poaching Carmichael Jr. ?

Or should the Saints hold their ground and keep the Offensive Coordinator that brought us so many wins over the past decade+?

Its his best friend Loomis that I hope he takes.

Otherwise he's literally probably got a job for life running this franchise.

The half arse rebuild clearly didnt work. Why continue it by keeping Pete. I want just about everyone gone save for like 10 players

Just heard Detillier lamenting on the lack of physicality by the Saints against the Ravens.

But it's always seemed that the Saints have shown a real problem handling the most physical teams in the NFL such as Tennessee, Jacksonville, Steelers, and the Ravens.

The original gameplan was to "run the ball." Great plan.

But it wasn't just Allen and the staff; the brain trust in the media, including Fazan, before the game predicted that Kamara would have to touch the ball a minimum of 28 times.

As if the staff was listening to the media, they tried that, and almost immediately they were down 14 - 3.

Instead of mixing the pass first with the run. Yeah, the first play was a pass, and then they fell into the original plan.

When it was 21 to 6, it was obvious the game was over early.

Now they're asking Detillier why T. Hill is not touching the ball more.

Detillier's answer? "It's absolutely baffling to me."

They follow a script. They did what they were supposed to do.

Yes - think a clean slate would do wonders for this team.

I'd literally send the team a draft pick to take Carmichael off our hands

it wouldn't shock me if they are limiting his touches because they don't want to him to get hurt.

seeing how we have others who are already out?

Just a guess.

Seems this has been said since the day he got here . 40 touches between him and AK are the base line for me per game. But Saints have other plans. Done with it

Certainly that's a consideration when it comes to him.

But now their backs are to the wall, and they don't have the luxury of "saving" anybody.

They'll just have to roll the dice with him and hope for the best.

He might not have as much trouble as some anticipate.

Is it at all possible that in tandem with Kamara, it could have been the difference in that game either with Hill as quarterback or complementing the other quarterback in his many capacities.

Payton is not taking Pete. The whole reason for leaving was to start fresh. Payton will bring in another puppet, maybe even Joe Brady to become the "new Pete". Brady and Payton are familiar. Brady has established himself as a fine QB coach with Allen in BUF. Brady could get his promotion back to an OC role, without the stress and liability of play calling.

Sean is done with Pete and the overwhelming majority of people on this Saints staff. He may try to pluck Neilson as DC, which is why DA needs to give it up, name him DC and let him run with it.
