Stupid take. We have our top 3 corners set. Our tackles are set, you not taking a guard in the top 10, that’s just idiotic.
It absolutely needs to be receiver or a top de. Now if Hunter is there, of course you pick him. But he can play both.

Either line. Build from the inside out like any great team. No more fricking around. Specifically guards or DEs. I don’t think we’re terrible in the middle of the D line, and though it could still use an upgrade, we obviously have a weakness at DE that we’ve tried and failed to address in drafts and FA. Hopefully we can hit on SOMEONE.

if you mean pick 10,11,12 it probably will be one of the following.
DE, Starks, OT
If you mean 1-12, could be anyone depending on where you pick. Hunter is your first pick.

No. Your tackles are just ok and you have shite for depth. A guy like penning would be a nice depth piece
Saints would run to the podium if they could draft a guy like will Campbell. Y’all forget they took Peat in the midst of the 7-9s while Armstead and Strief were in there primes and were way better than the current duo

1 RD WR is never a good idea, they last 5 years max and then are signed to contract we can't get rid of and they never play up to.
Do you really think we are good to go on our Tackles? I don't, but to your point, I put OL not OT, guard is not a good pick in the top 10 or really the 1st RD.
The best DE would be perfect and we need it badly, hopefully this is what happens.
But if the good DEs and OTs are taken, and the best CB is there, then draft him. We just lost Lattimore, and a franchise CB is almost as good as a franchise DE, not as good, but almost.

No they wouldn’t, he goes to LSU.

The only realistic position (so excluding kicker and shite) I’d probably say no to right now is corner. And even then, if they let Adebo walk, I could be convinced
More than anything this team just needs GOOD young foundational players. Position doesn’t matter all that much.

And the peat pick was a bad pick. We need help in so many other areas that I think it would be dumb when you have tackles on roster that are starting caliber players. You don’t use a 1st round pick for depth, that doesn’t seem right to me.
Penning was the number 1 rated tackle this week and has been rated pretty well all year and he’s passed the eye test for me at least.
I think you’ve got 2 tackles that are starting caliber under contract you need to focus on the other areas like receiver and dline. Too many other needs.
Also, Will Campbell hasn’t shown me anything this year that would suggest he’s some can’t miss OT prospect. He’s made a ton of bad penalties in big moments this year and he’s part of an oline that cannot run the ball for jackshit.

Umm no. So we just wasted two top 15ish picks on tackles and we need to draft another one so Penning can be the backup? He was the highest graded saint last week and has played good enough all season. Way bigger issues all over the roster.
Team has age and holes everywhere and y’all want to draft another tackle?
A guard should not be picked in the first, much less top 15.
And I thought Loomis was an idiot gm….

Sunk cost bubba.
Could give a frick about a one week PFF ranking. You are not ok at the tackle position. And having an extra tackle who is serviceable is extremely important. There’s no bigger issue on the roster if Fuage or Penning went down
Put down the recency bias Kool Aid
Penning had grades by week. Give me your analysis here
68 vs CAR
57 DAL
40 PHI
54 ATL
56 KC
82 TB
46 DEN
55 LAC
57 CAR
92 AT
That’s a lot of 40s and 50s grades. Glad he’s playing “better” but to bet on him is foolish
None of it is going to be solved overnight. You need the building blocks in place before you go anywhere.

One draft strategy that cannot be wrong right now is just simple ol bpa.

I’d trade for a 1st next year.

DE Scourton from Aggies would be a solid pick
