I tihnk a lot of teams are going to bite on a QB that is 5-0 and possibly 6-0. I'm thinking 3 years, 50 million.

$18-20 mil per range.

Without looking, I think that's around the average starting QB NFL salary, and it's hard to argue he doesn't deserve that as he seems pretty clearly to be roughly average.

Also, assuming he continues with similar production the Saints should quickly and happily offer him 2 years $40mil imo, barring something unforeseen happening that allows us to get a better QB... I have no idea what that could be though.

I don’t think the market will be that fruitful for him with this strong QB draft class coming in

2 yr deal in the $17-18 range to a desperate team? Kind of like Keenum got in 18’

I don’t think he’s getting a long term deal

True value? Closer to $11-12 per year.

Consider a guy like Tyrol Taylor 2yr 11mil. That’s closer to the talent he is

His arm strength is weak sauce. I don’t think a team can honestly watch him and think he’s going to save a franchise

Either we pay him about the same now except give him 2 years or some desperate team takes a chance and gives him 12-14 mil a year

I don’t think so either Chad, but a team with a QB on a rookie deal could sign him for 2 years as a bridge player/insurance and pay him more than he’s worth

Honestly not sure what the market will look like for QBs.

The following teams need a QB but they all have variables:

Miami - Probably takes a QB at 1. Would they also want to commit money to Teddy?
Bengals - Still have Dalton but be sucks. May take a QB at 2.
Redskins - Just draftees Haskins
Bears - Admit they made a mistake with Tribuski?
Tennessee - Are they done with Marriota?
Denver - maybe. Flacco suck

So that brings you to the next tier of aging QBs that need a bridge to the future:

Saints
Patriots
Steelers
Chargers

Wildcard Teams:

Bucs - may be time to move on from Winston
Falcons - may blow it all up
Panthers - how hurt is Cam?

After breaking it down, I don’t see the market being that hot for a guy like Bridgewater, especially if a Winston or Matt Ryan or Dalton are in play as well.

I think the most likely scenario is very similar to this year where he goes somewhere as a backup or where he will be competing for the starting job, but not somewhere he comes in and is the starter hands down.

He will be a starter for a different team. Saints will have drafted their next QB in this class (which looks really good). Brees will play until he feels like he doesn't want to.

This is not a knock on Teddy and I'm not staying I don't want him here. He will have earned more than any team will want to pay a backup and I think Brees goes another year or two.

Do people not watch games? Teddy is average and a fine backup but we have won most of these games despite him. He doesn’t make mistakes, which is a huge plus, but he also doesn’t make a lot of plays.

If someone wants to pay him 20 million a year, let them.

People are blinded by just how good this team around him is. As usual QBs get too much credit when a team wins and too much blame when they lose. Prime example.

And I am not a Teddy hater at all. I like him. He’s just not that good if we are being honest. He’s average.
