How many years have we been in this same situation and having the same conversation? Traded away picks to move up to make bad picks is the reason we are still here... We are into 5 weeks and our #1 pick hasn't even seen the field...

Any position other than QB and WR...

yeah no shite! it's egregious what has went on and so many years wasted and these shite drafts. so many wasted picks.

I would go for OL and start stocking up on them. Ruiz is not long for this world and I would look for a mow the lawn guy to replace him.

Ther's a guy at Iowa who is a beast

Best case scenario is if we do finish with a top five pick we do one of two things.

In this QB rich draft we trade down for a top 12 pick still and a 2028 first rounder.

Or we get an edge that grades as elite.

We need elite talent. We have some good talent, but nothing elite.

It’s amazing how many people who follow football don’t know games are won in the trenches. The Saints brass knows this but their draft choices for the most part aren’t as good as the team ranks them.more busts then all pros. The last time they really hit on lineman was 2006-2009 drafts. They need to go find those scouts and bring them back ,if they are alive.

Fuaga is still unsettled rather than a clear hit. His overall PFF grades were 65.7 as a rookie, 64.5 last year, and 54.6 so far this season. Simply holding a starting job isn’t enough to call him a successful first-round pick.

that is interesting. He played left tackle as a rookie and that was in Kubiak's scheme. Also, a different line coach. Derek Carr played some of the games that year but then it was total arse when Rattler had to play. But the Saints were so injury riddled that year on offense I think by the end we were just ready for it to be over,

his bugaboo with penalties has been false starts. He has 18 penalties in his career but 11 of them were when he was a rookie and PFF graded him the highest they ever have. Go figure.

I need to see if Moore tries to change up what they are doing offensively. And by change, I mean not getting behind early and then having to be too predictable and throwing.

The GM of any other franchise is likely getting canned for any one of those mistakes. Mickey got a raise and more gum to smack on.

I think the only thing we're settled on is te, wr, and qb.

Aside from that we can improve at any particular place.
T - fuaga can be moved
G - Ruiz can be moved
C - McCoy cost can be saved
DT - we don't have a game changer
DE - need someone opposite young
LB - werner and elliss are just okay
CB - mckinstry is a #2
S - neither Reid nor blackmon are long term fixes

If a franchise QB ia available in the Top-5, they should make the pick. But Loomis has held the franchise back for a decade by not doing so

Or Jeremiah Smith who is an absolute can't miss

QB, RB, WR, TE, OL, DL, LB, CB, S, K

Not necessarily in that order.

Right now?

Hammer interior DL in FA. Sign 2 guys AT LEAST. Spend $$$. Probably sign a Safety because Blackmon has been bad, then a budget guard to compete at RG with Wright and Radunz.

Draft?

Edge and Corner with the first two picks. RB in the third round.
