I’d imagine the Saints have some kind of a succession plan for when Gayle passes away. Gayle is going to be around a long time. Get comfortable with her.

If covering up for the Diocese of New Orleans touching all those little kids won’t do it, I’m not sure what will.

Then they end up team # 3 in Los Angeles.

Unless she kills someone on live tv, nothing will ever happen to force her to sell the teams while she’s living.

There was someone in the Benson trust using corporate emails to coach the archdiocese on how to word emails about molestation cases and she didn’t get rid of them. That alone should’ve been a major red flag with the league.

It's a billion dollar industry. She ain't selling and I don't blame her. Win or lose, she's a billionaire

The archbishop should introduce her to a local guy who's about 10 years younger and committed to New Orleans.

Then when Gayle dies, introduce him to a younger woman (unless he has kids or nieces and nephews who aren't head cases).

i know she’s courting people. she has two favorites! one id an obvious individual and the other one isnt hard to guess. i can’t say anything else outside of loomis is a beneficiary of bensons so he isnt leaving unless theres a sale and that when she sells shell donate the money to the church.

i take what i hear with a grain of salt. but shes doing something and isnt just sitting around letting the team rot as she gets older.

You can't make people sell their stuff because you don't like how they use it. You can choose whether you support it or not. There's 31 other teams that would enjoy the opportunity to disappoint you at some point, but they may not be able to disappoint you as consistently as Gayle's team.

There are four EVPs that will lead the act of sale. Until then, Mickey and Lauscha will both be a part of the organization. Nothing will change.

Tilman Fertitta and Todd Graves both have interest, but I don’t think they’d want wait much longer. She won’t sell until NBA officially expands so the trust can get another $500m+.

Only way to force her is to find evidence she caused a crime or did something that will sully the reputation of the leagues.

That would be great, but where are you hearing/reading this?

The very high likelihood of the NBA expansion could easily be baked into the sale if it were to happen prior to the actual expansion.

I'm not even remotely close to being in any sort of "loop", but I suspect that Gayle has no interest in selling.

I have friends that work under him and work with him that both stated he has interest.

It would be a good move by the NFL to get someone like him in because he’s a marketable face that already has an international brand.

That's not happening, and there is nothing you or I can do to force it.

Supposedly, there is some plan in place for selling the team, whether that is before or after she passes away, and part of that is a requirement that anyone who purchases the team will keep it in NOLA.

We'll see what happens. Don't expect any change in ownership anytime soon.
