i mean tillman could be at the table but his name wasn’t mentioned to me and probably would have been if he was at this meeting or whatever it was. i live in houston so that would have been something pointed out to me. but apparently she’s courting groups of men and has two favorites. i’m not sure who the others in the group are.

the two i know of one is already named in this thread and the other one is someone i can’t confirm due to how close my family is to them. this isnt the first time ive heard about this potential transaction. it’s just gaining more steam.

prior it was more of a pipe dream and these billionaires and millionaires more so presenting the idea and putting together a group to buy them. but now she’s personally courting because i guess her goal is to sell sooner rather than later.

No I'm from the Pinball Machine Age at Orbit Bowling Alley. Not from your exact neighborhood.

Her goal has always seemed to make sure the team(s) remain in this city. Maybe selling while she is alive can push that to reality. Fertitta owning the Rockets doesn’t necessarily help if he wanted the Saints.

The big question will be how are the Pelicans handled. I’m sure the NBA will press for a new arena if they’re to remain here. The state and Gayle both aren’t willing to budge on making that happen. It would truly be nice if that was her final send off and then you incorporate that into sale, but the Cathedral renovations and Ochsner upgrades aren’t going to pay for themselves.

yeah tillman is extremely committed to houston, so i can see him try and hold off for the texans if that’s ever a possibility. if anyone would do it it would be him. but like you said he has a basketball team, and now the wnba is returning to the city under his wing.

i know one of the two i was talking about prefers the pelicans over the saints just out of pure fandom. so maybe she sells saints to one and pelicans to other. but pelicans wasn't mentioned to me just the saints.

she seems committed to keeping it in the city. her friend circle isnt too pleased with her and how she came about owning the saints. i’ve met some folks who use to run with her prior to marrying benson and they weren’t to fond of how she slithered into his life. so maybe this is her redemption story.

the whole church thing was mentioned and that’s a clear goal of hers just not sure the details. i guess she thought she could donate the team and not have to sell it. so now it’s my understanding she’s actively looking for a local buyer in her own weird way.
