Jesus Christ, man. Two glove Teddy had ONE good game. The previous 2 before that he looked pitiful and we won despite him, not because of him. Drew would probably be an upgrade at 60% of his ability.

Please explain what I said was wrong? Brees’ knowledge of defenses is rivaled only by the likes of Brady. Brees was 2nd team All Pro last year and did great against Houston this year. He’s still an elite QB if healthy.
I honestly cannot believe I’m really arguing with someone on this board that thinks Bridgewater is on par with Brees.

The Teddy obsession with some is absolutely bizarre and mind boggling. Look, he’s seems to be a great guy and is very like-able, but have you been watching his play?
Outside of the 3 quarters this past week he has been far below average. The defense, special teams, and some lucky breaks are why the Saints beat Seattle and Dallas. Teddy couldn’t check down field or complete a pass over 10 yards. Yes, he did look good in the second half of the last game, but even so the receivers did most of the heavy lifting.
get a grip on reality. Some of you are seeing what you want to see and trying to create a ridiculous narrative that Teddy is the future of this team lol. He’s done a decent job of stepping in as a backup and kudos to him for that.

The discussion is applicable under different circumstances:
If Drew does not retire after this year then it becomes a question of whether or not Teddy wants to be a high paid backup for another year or two. I think he would want that. He knows our system and can win in it. He’s not motivated by money.
If Drew does retire, then I feel he gets a 3 year deal and we still draft a QB in round 1.
Either way, I feel much better now than I did in mid-September.

Bridgewater isn't Luck or Rodgers, we arent benching a HOFer for him.

People said the same thing about Tom Brady

Brady was a 2nd year player with a total of 3 career passes prior to becoming the starter. He was an unknown player.
Meanwhile Bridgewater has been in the NFL for 5 years now and has thrown almost 1K passes. He might get better but he’s not at all the unknown Brady was.
It’s also not the same because Bledsoe was nowhere near a HOF caliber QB. He hadn’t had a good season in about 5 years prior to getting replaced.
You and the other guy are either trolls or just some casual watchers that don’t know shite about football or the Saints.

Look, you've got the skill levels reversed here. Teddy is the Bledsoe-caliber guy, and Brees is at Brady's level. You are forcing a comparison where things are just nowhere near comparable.
Teddy could throw for 400+ and 4TDs and no picks over the next few games, and it would still be a no-brainer to put Drew back in when he's healthy. You just can't bench a clear top 3 guy in the league because of a few games, no matter how impressive they may be.
You stick with what has worked for 13 years, not with what has worked for a few games.
As for your comment that a strong arm opens the playbook, that might be the most asinine thing I've ever heard. You know what opens the playbook? Having a guy who knows the playbook like the back of his hand. A guy who can read a defense as if he called the defensive play himself, and who can check to the right play and protection accordingly.

You obviously have tunnel vision about your opinion and it’s 100% racially motivated. That’s obvious from the OP

I dont care about Brady. And i dont speak for ALL Saints fans.
Brees will always be the GOAT in my opinion. Sure I am biased, but i dont give a frick.
Brady benefits from being in the AFC.

This is not Manning/Osweiller. We do not win against the Texans without Brees being himself. When he is ready to go, you say thank you to Teddy for doing what we kept him for, and tell him to keep learning under one of the best to ever do it.
Exactly. Bridgewater is WAY better than Osweiler. He was a first round pick for crying out loud
