Was that 2nd challenge the worst of all time by Payton?

You use your last challenge of the game with 11 mins left in the 2nd quarter, on a 3 yard difference?!

If we scored on that drive we win the game so no it wasn’t. That’s a dumb question

Not this shite....yes, we needed a score. It would have been 3rd and long if we didn’t get that call.

No problem with either of Sean’s challenges.

Where the hell did you get 3 yards from? It was 15 yards and set us up at first and goal

It was about a 15 yard difference but IMO, even in hindsight, it was a really bad decision. You had 1 challenge left with zero chance of getting a third and 40 minutes left in the game.

It wasn't a score or a game changing play. Sure enough, it bit us in the arse with Beasley's "first down".

The game was poorly officiated all around. We probably had more bad calls against us but we got a couple too. It was the worst possibly game to have no challenge in his pocket for 3 quarters.

Had no problem with the second challenge. We needed momentum and a score, he screwed the pooch with his play calling on the goal line, still don't understand no play action in those 4 plays at all, especially as aggressive as the DLs and LBs were being

Even in hindsight, that’s a good challenge. They went from 3rd and long to 1st and goal. I’ll take that every time, especially in a tight defensive game like last night.

The nonsense about the Beasley 1st down is just that. No way to predict that the refs would so royally screw up an obvious call. Sean shouldn’t have to challenge every other damn play to get the correct outcome.

The poor decision was letting Thomas decide whether he caught the ball or not. The ref had a pretty clear view.

Even that I’m OK with. Sean was backing his guy. MT really believed it was a catch. The replay showed the ball touching the ground but it didn’t move...I think if it had been ruled a catch and Dallas challenged, it would have stood.

Overall this was not Sean Payton’s best game coaching. We all suck at times.

When you know you can win a challenge for that kind of yardage, it’s definitely worth it. Everyone wants to blame something else. The real issue on why the Saints lost is bc they played a bad game. They didn’t block well, WRs dropped passes and couldn’t get separation, and Brees was just a little off.

I thought you didn't lose a challenge if it got reversed?
