I'm not sure it matters. It is absolutely no reason for one to take another's life. Like Brees said, people need to treat people better.

the spare tire is on the back of the H2, so it sticking out, but he clearly bumps him. Look at the way Will Smith's car jiggles. that is what happens when you hit a car that weighs 1k more pounds than your Gwagon.

It looked clear IMO. That tells us why Hayes was mad, but still no life threatening situation.

Based on that video it does appear to be a hit and run.
Why was Hayes stopping in the first place? There was no street light at that intersection...why would you just come to a complete stop right there? He did not have his blinker on to suggest he was parking on the street.
Obviously Smith should have stopped and avoided this by paying more attention...just curious. Very weird video IMO it could be viewed as baiting or just being an arsehole driver on Hayes part.

Crazy theory I'm thinking is he wanted to create an accident to get Smith out of the car. Unlikely but there was absolutely no reason to stop there. Then he claims he followed him to get his license number. He drove right past him and didn't see it? And then why does he slam into him again if all he wanted was license plate? I hope this fricking POS rots in jail for the rest of his life.

Yes Smith hit Hayes and kept driving. Yes it's curious why Hayes stopped short at that moment. None of that shows any threat to Hayes' life which would justify him pulling a gun and shooting Smith. The only thing it tells us is why Hayes was angry, but again anger is not justification to kill.

A hit and run doesn't give someone a license to kill. Now if something transpired at the scene of the crime, then that is a different story. From what every article has said, it would be hard for Will Smith to be the aggressor from the steering wheel of his car where he was found slumped over.

Hayes is saying smith said he was going get his gun for him. Also people on Facebook are saying that smith shot his wife while reaching for his own gun. I kid you not.

So what? WS could have been distracted for a moment and hit the vehicle that had stopped short in front of him.
Watching the video, the Hummer just sits there and does nothing, so WS backs up and pulls around him. Then the shooter follows him aggressively and we all know what happened next.
NOTHING I've seen warrants killing another human being. Shooter had no regard for life, maybe in part because of what happened to his father, but that is not an excuse.
