Just heard from @Broncos coach Vic Fangio, who is among those mourning the loss of Vaughn Johnson, a member of Fangio’s renown @Saints “Dome Patrol” linebackers - Sam Mills, Rickey Jackson, Pat Swilling & Johnson. #RIP

Dome Patrol is GOAT

RIP Vaughn

ETA: and yes I realize Sam Mills has been gone a few years now

Sad to hear this. I hope that the Saints honor him before the MNF game.

I saw him once at The Maple Leaf sometime in Spring of 1992. Was ordering some drinks at the bar and he came up next to me, waiting his turn. Talked for just a moment, seemed very down to earth and relaxed. I remember that he wasn't tall but very muscular, wide and stocky. It seemed to take a whole minute just to walk around him.

RIP, Vaughn.

I'd get uncomfortable in my seat when he hit people head-on.
