It will take 4 years of Drafting players… assuming Saints scouts identify the correct players.

Problem is ….. these are not the days of Jimmy Johnson (Cowboys) and turning things around very very quickly.
In the old days…. Players couldn’t just leave in free agency … their teams basically “owned” them for life.
It could take a team like the Saints …
4 year of drafting just to get a decent team … not a playoff or Super Bowl Team .
Hitting on your high draft picks then finding hidden gems in the 4th and 5th draft rounds makes all the difference.

I understand but you are looking at extreme cases.
What is the avg # of players collected each draft by the avg NFL team…
Then you need to find the Saints Avg !!!!
Saints are lucky to get 3 QUALITY players per year.
The 2025 draft seems to be an exception for them.
Of course, they just threw away their 2nd rd draft pick in 2025.

Yeah, I completely disagree with this take. You’re pretty much describing every team in the NFL. Nobody has like 20 young guys that are amazing on their roster, and if they do, they won’t be able to afford more than half of them. You constantly need new young up-and-comers to fill in the spaces. The problem with our roster construction is that we don’t have studs in the important places — QB, WR, DE, CB
