Drew might not be perfect, but nobody can deny that he’s greatly impacted our city in such positive way. Thank you for everything Drew!

Brees is literally the reason that the Saints are still located in New Orleans. He will always be a legend here. Those who criticize him are clearly too young or too dumb to understand his impact on this franchise & city.

39.8% before Brees.

62.5% after Brees.

The "none of us are perfect" line got me thinking.

I assume Tyrann was alluding to Drew's comments in the offseason about the flag etc.

Some view Drew's initial stance as wrong and some view Drew's response as wrong, some may actually agree with how it was handled completely.

Ultimately I feel like Drew recognized that having a hard line stance on the issue could have potentially impacted his children and their future opportunities negatively. He didn't want their last name to become toxic in an increasingly woke society.

My perspective on Drew is that he is a very good father and wants the very best for his kids, as most do. I believe at least some of his drive over the years has been envisioning giving all of his kids the moment on the field celebrating after a Superbowl win. They all see the pictures of Drew and his oldest being there and experiencing that. It was a very special moment that he gave his all to try and recreate for each of them.

The beat writers were all commenting about how long they stayed out on that field playing last night. It may have not been exactly how Drew envisioned it but his kids all seemed to be having a blast and created a very neat memory for them, with Brady coming out and all.

It would not surprise me at all to see one of those boys winning a Superbowl one day and Drew being able to go on the field afterwards and share that moment with them.

Damn, that tweet made me finally process and comprehend we’ll never get to see Brees in a Saints uniform again. Unreal.

Brees’ retirement press conference is gonna be tough to watch. Probably going to be a lot of former teammates and coaches there and not a dry eye in the building. A truly Legendary career on and off the field. From this lifelong Saints fan, thank you for all the great memories.

So what would cancel culture have done to him and his family if he would have stood his ground?

I can't even imagine what he would have went through.. He probably wouldn't even be able to get a commentator job.

No, but I don’t really think there is a way he could come back, at least as a Saint.

Greatest free agent signing in NFL history and greatest New Orleans Saint ever by a fricking landslide. Enjoy your retirement, Drew. We’ll see you in Canton.

Yeah. They are worse than the ones that were threatening him and his family right ?

Kudos to TM7 for thanking him
