Plenty do, I can bump a bunch of threads providing evidence….

I don’t hate the prospect, but I do hate that we took him in the top 40. Im not drafting a player that’s been hurt 7 of 8 years and is 26 years old.

But that’s just me. I hope I’m wrong and he’s Tom Brady.

I don’t care if another team took him in the 2nd. There are gms that had Anthony Richardson in the first, one that took him 4th overall. I thought he was a third round talent.

It was rhetorical question. I know all the emo fit throwers on here are Saints fans. It just amuses me when people come on here claiming they quit caring 3 years ago, or that don’t understand why someone else cares, or like you, pull for a player to fail just because they’re upset we didn’t take such and such… and say shite like they’re “taking” receipts so they can play the I told you so card. No one is saying TS is gonna be great, we’re just willing to let it play out. Like mature adults who don’t say things like “I’m taking receipts!”

He wasn’t going to make it more than 5-6 picks past where we took him.

Who is this mythical team that was drafting him 5-6 picks later? The two teams with big qb needs took them in the first. The other, the Browns, passed on him not once but twice in the 2nd before us.

Based on the history of QBs drafted in the nfl you are correct. The numbers are deeply in your favor; however, that has nothing to do with Shough and where the Saints selected him. It has everything to do with the high failure rate of college QBs transitioning to the NFL. You’re no Nostradamus; you’re just an ignorant internet troll

I don’t think anyone believes he’s a reach. Just not an ideal pick for the Saints. Bigger needs this year and better QBs in next years draft.

I don't think it's so much stupid people as it is people who treat media draft experts as gospel. Its interesting to read, but it has no bearing on what the people getting paid to make these decisions by teams think.

Way too many unknowns to bank on that if there’s a QB you like that you can take now. Especially if your new HC, who’s looking for a young guy to run his offense, says he wants him. At that point you go with it.

Only ones that stick out are Indy at 45 (drafted Leonard in 6th) or Seattle at 50 (drafted Milroe in 3rd). And this is pure speculation just from seeing who drafted a QB later in the draft and was drafting near 40.

Sanders a case in point they don't want to address unless it's racial.

Nobody wants to see a 2nd Rd draft pick of the Saints fail (Lawd knows we’ve suffered seeing this enuff over the years)…..

Problem is…. Whatever QB plays for the Saints (it better not be Carr) has to perform so highly …
the Saints would be forced to pass up drafting Nussmeier or Manning if they were available when the Saints picked.

Trust me… I don’t care what any QB does on the Saints roster this season…. Nussmeier or Manning would be picked if either fell to the Saints draft position (which will be top 5).

I’ve seen 2 mock drafts for 2026 ….
—1 draft had Saints with #1 overall pick.
—2nd draft had Saints with 2nd overall pick

It’s hilarious they take this as a victory…”other people might have been interested him in the second round !!” You know where most franchise qbs go…

Someone on ESPN said earlier that the Jets at #42 were the mystery team.

Yeah cause only the saints miss on a second round quarterback. Wait didn't the raiders miss on a pick a few years ago? Supposedly reported he could throw the ball 75 yards from his knees... shite who was that, oh yeah number one overall pick jamarcuss Russell
