He's pretending those facts don't matter to GM's

Sure you give us back our 1st rounder and you can have him. But I doubt he could be traded due to his contract anyway.

What does that have to do in 2022?

Is he hurt again?

I don't think anyone on our roster would be able to make that deal happen

I guess they figured they've trade raped us twice, third time may be the charm.

A 3 for an aging RB is not that bad.

you’re not getting anything close to that

Also, a 2, 3, 4 (in 2023) and 5 (in 2024) are close to equal to a 1st round pick. Plus Kamara is better than CMC… so I could see us getting a 1 for him

Don’t even pick up the phone for the Eagles. They fleece us every time.

We are in cap hell right now. You can’t trade Kamara, Latt, Ram without having a ton of dead space. We will be in this position for another 2 years at least

I’ll take our first back and an extra second.
2023- $16M
But the dead cap is $19M

So even if we trade him it’s still a 19M hit?
So we save $3M by keeping him?
2024 Hit- $17M
2025 Hit- $27M
Oof

Saints should be in fire sale mode. Nothing will improve until they admit they are rebuilding and stop trying to baby the fans by falsely trying to keep their hope up.

How does trading AK to the Eagles to tank this year, and they already have our pick, help this year?

It’s been mentioned over and over that because of the cap situation it’s hard for the Saints to just start unloading certain players. Yet people keep posting about how the Saints need to start trading everyone.

I swear to god everyone thinking Saints could get their first round pick back for him have to be mentally challenged.

why are you arguing about how it helps this year? the help is with the intent of resetting our cap future.

BUT

Certain players with untradable contracts can have their contracts reconstructed to facilitate a trade. Cough kamara/ thomas/ davenport maybe.

I did a poor job of saying there is no reason to tank this year cap wise or pick wise. Saints decided to go all in for this year and that’s the only option now. Rebuild will start another year late.

i've typically been a loomis fan but i did say i wasn't a fan of how we continued to push some contracts. I felt it was time for a re-tune of sorts with some cap issues when drew retired. Was partly why i was a fan of taysom being a 2 yr bridge to youth down the road.
