This is the classic fan view. None of his injuries were serious or required surgery, football people view it as bad luck, fans view as proof of something likely to happen repeatedly. CMacs best seasons were better than anything AK has done. He’s also younger. You can sit here and post stats all day but the market will not value AK the same way as Saints fans

He's pretending those facts don't matter to GM's
It doesn’t matter to GMs, it only matters to fans. He didn’t have anything surgically repaired so if he’s healthy he’s healthy. Fans think because he was hire before he will get hurt again.

My bad i didn’t cover every possible contingency under the Sun.
Foot can be a different different animal and Thomas missed a basically 2 whole seasons with the same ankle injury. CMac sprained an ankle then came back and injured his shoulder which is unrelated. He was healthy to start last season and pulled a hamstring also unrelated but by all means continue to think NFL personnel people value Saints players the same way as Saints fans.
ETA the more important point at the moment is CMac is 100% healthy, Thomas is hurt.

I assume because Saints homers are arguing AK41 is just as good or better. At his peak CMac was clearly better. That he missed most of the next 2 seasons with injury doesn’t change that. It also doesn’t impact his value now that he’s healthy. He can argue it til you are blue in the face but AK is not likely that o get anything close to what Carolina for for McCaffery

Frankly I think the 49ers overpaid for McCaffrey. I don't think we're getting anything close to that for Kamara. Good on the Panthers for getting that deal done.

I agree with what you’re saying, but leverage is also a factor. Carolina is packing it in and moving on; which gives them less leverage in trying to claim a player has a certain amount of value. Saints are making a push for the NFC South. As a result, you would assume a team would have to pay more for an asset like AK

No offense to you BUT Mickey don’t know shite. The fact that Mickey has the Saints in this situation is a fireable offense. He has been given to long to keep kicking the can down the road.

Tis is a chance for the Saints to get the Eagles back. If you want Kamara it'll just cost you a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd round picks. The first 2 in 2023 and the 3rd round pick in 2024.

They didn't overpay, frankly, I'm surprised that Carolina didn't get a 1st round pick out of that. Listen, McCaffrey and Kamara aren't your average RBs that can just run well. They're special backs that do both running the football and catching it equally well. I think McCaffrey ís a tad better than Kamara, but there's not much separation between the two.
