But we got Penning and Olave to save the franchise one day in the future.
Get our 1st back for Kamara and then dump Michael Thomas even if we have to eat the cap space. The guy is a cancer.

Cool story bro, what does that have to do with anything?

Super Bowl It’s a reasonable price to pay for a guaranteed offensive difference maker for the next 3-5 years.
They are already the favorites and AK is clearly declining lolol if you think he’s anything like he was a couple years ago 3 years from now

What do you base one being much better than the other on?
Posted on 10/27/22 at 7:26 pm to H-Town Tiger
Eagles are not the Super Bowl favorite.

Kamara and McCaffreys average stats are almost identical.
McCaffrey gets more touches, Kamara is healthier and scores a lot more touchdowns
Alvin is, and always has been, better.

One is one of only 3 players to have 1000 yards rushing and 1000 receiving in the same season and almost did it twice. The other has never cracked in 1000 in either category in any season.
AK is a great great player McCaffery is just better

From the nfc, sure. The goal is to win the SB though, right? Buffalo is much better than the current eagles

3 years ago Michael Thomas had a historic season.

Another cool story, what exactly does that have to do with McCaffery being better than Kamara?

That's why I gave him the yds/touch stat. I don't go around saying will Rogers is better than Bryce young bc he has more passing yards... will throws it a ton more.
Obviously the difference in will Rogers and Bryce young is much larger than AK and CM, but the point remains.

Cool, that doesn’t mean they are exactly the same.

Yeah like one hasn’t played down in the NFL and one is long time vet lock hall of famer. That said as. Saints fans in 2023 I’d rather have Young.
Winston’s career avg 254 y/g Dan Marino avg 253.6, guess Jameis is just as good?

Mickey don’t know shite. The fact that Mickey has the Saints in this situation is a fireable offense. He has been given to long to keep kicking the can down the road.
You are obviously a bandwagon fan. Since you’re not really up on how the NFL and sports franchises work in general. You actually have to do this when you have a generational talent at QB like Drew Brees.
Did they stretch it a little to far with Brees. Sure but but every GM in the league would have done the same thing. Did Mickey not follow his own advice of “I’d rather give up on a guy a year to early than a year to late” sure but that advice is not for players like Brees. Unfortunately you ride those guys till they decide it’s over.
Those of us who have been fans from day one with a Brees and have a memory of well before the CSP/DB era knew this day would come and understand it was 100% worth it. Even if we should have more than one SB. You probably have no idea of how bad the organization was at one point. But you will.

I know this board will never agree, but CMac is seen as MUCH better than AK, even with the injury issues.
Kamara has still never rushed for 1,000 yards or had a 1,000 receiving season. CMac did both in one year (almost 2)
I'm late to this one but I'm bored waiting for a meeting to start so,
Starting with their usage:
Even with all the time CMac has missed AK only has 120 more career touches than him. 1386 vs 1266
Total Scrimmage yards AK-8043 CMac-7334
Total TDs AK-67 CMac-50
YPC AK-4.6 CMac-4.6
YPR AK-8.7 CMac-8.5
YAC AK-8.07 CMac-8.25 (no data for 2017 which favors CMac bc AK had his best year here with 10.2 ypr)
YPT(yards per touch) AK-5.8 CMac-5.8
Focusing on 2018 and 2019 when both were healthy, (Again, PFF did CMac a favor not having advanced stats in 2017, his worst year and potentially AK's most efficient year)
CMac averaged 3 yards per attempt before contact vs AK's 2.4.
AK has a small edge in yards after contact (2.15 vs 1.95) and smashes CMac's total broken tackles in that time (50 vs 31).
The only thing CMac runs away with is catch %. He's never had a drop % above 5 whereas AK has only 1 season below 5. Last year was atrocious at 13%
Both players have an outlier season (most do, good or bad) where they averaged less than 4.0 ypc. CMac's rookie year and last year for AK.
I think they are much closer than some people assume.
Interesting side note. I found that Mark Ingram has the lowest drop rate amongst RBs since 2015 and hasn't dropped a pass since at least 2018, when PFF started tracking drops.

This is the issue with all of this. If and that’s a big if, we trade Kamara and are able to get our first back, then the organization and us as fans have to completely fine with tanking every single game this year.
This division is so weak that if we fool around we could possibly win the division, go to playoffs and get murdered all the while we kill the positioning of the puck we just got back for Kamara.
