I would much rather go after Trey Lance.

That being said, Derek Carr is likely gone from Vegas after this season and he's gotten a terrible rap since his near MVP season. Instantly better than anything else available other than Jimmy G next year.

All of these may only be marginally better than what Dalton has been able to do w a tough season. We need health and better coaching.

Yeah - Adding Sean Payton with a Derek Carr or Jimmy G is exponentially better than adding ANY QB with DA still on the sidelines.

We need to keep our first round pick and suck really bad for a year when a legit prospect at QB is coming out. Probably our best shot at our next QB who has legit franchise potential.

9ers aren’t giving up on Trey Lance, Purdy and Jimmy having success probably only emboldens their stance on him succeeding.

Caleb Williams
Drake Maye

We'd need to REALLY suck

I don’t think 49ers letting go of lance or Purdy. Jimmy G may be headed to NYJ as a free agent.

So maybe some 6’4” QB with a rocket arm who was a #1 high school recruit, Consensus All-American who wins the Heisman Trophy, Walter Camp Award, Manning trophy, Archie Griffin Award, wins a National Championship, National Championship MVP, and is an AP and Sporting Report Player of the year?

Saints fans would love that guy, right?!

He actually had the upside to be a franchise QB, even if he should be getting to the end of his chances, which is why I wanted him to get more of a shot over Dalton who is definitely never going to be more than he currently is. Oh well.

Hows about we not trade away anymore draft picks. And reset for the 2024 season.

You’d have a better chance at getting rodgers

Still find it funny the people that argued with me the beginning of the year how Winston was so much better than Dalton, even a hurt Winston lol. They have all but disappeared now.

Dalton is #7 overall in the entire NFL for qb rating this year.

Bryce Young. Find a way to trade up in this Draft whether it’s trading players, picks, Payton, king cakes, or whatever.

Caleb Williams is amazingly talented, but the fingernail painting throws me off. The best QB’s are CEO level leaders. Bryce Young is that. I’m not certain about Caleb. He’s got some Patrick Mahomes in him as a player, but he has some Jackson Mahomes in him as a person.

Drake Maye is iffy. I’ve watched a few of his games and he’s tough to get a read on. I will say, I don’t think he will be elite in the NFL. But it’s possible he will be decent. He seems like store brand Burrow in terms of talent and leadership. I think his ceiling is a mid tier season from Kirk Cousins with a little bit more mobility.

All the king's horses and all the king's men couldn't get you anywhere near to get Bryce. Isn't happening.

The current coaching staff would turn the best wet dream into the Sahara desert.
