Don't see the Rams losing to Washington today. Going to be two 7-7 teams, with the winner having the inside track for the last wildcard spot. Obviously we win the division if we beat both the Bucs and Falcons, but earning a tiebreaker against the Rams would be huge - we already lost the tiebreaker against virtually every other team competing for a wild card.

Chance of having Thomas and Lattimore back from IR as well. Team is getting mostly healthy at the right time, and the lines are starting to play extremely well.

Every game is practically a must win.

Say we do beat the rams and the Bucs lose to the Jaguars.

We’d be a game ahead of the Bucs but then if they beat us in week 17 then they’re back in first place on tiebreaker and get to play Carolina in the final week to wrap up a division championship.

This season sucked, I’m not going to lie. But, with 3 weeks left, this game is so damn important. I like the fact that it holds relevance, and will choose it over losing always. frick tanking, Who Dat!!

the saints should just call in a forfeit right now, or play all 3rd and 4th stringers with haener at QB for thursday, and have the starters rest up and start getting ready for the tampa game

Actually Thursday is not must win for Saints at all. It barely moves our needle. Must win TB and ATL if we lose to LAR tho

If the Bucs lose to Jags then it barely moves the needle. If we lose on Thursday and Bucs beat the Jags then we’re not making the playoffs.

Even if we finished 9-8 in that scenario we’d finish behind the 9-8 Bucs and would have to rely on tiebreakers for the 7th seed. So it matters UNLESS Bucs lose to Jags.

If we beat the Rams, and the Falcons/Bucs both lose next week, then we win the division with a win over TB.

Atl very likely loses to Indy, and the Jags are a much better team than the Bucs. Us beating the Rams is the big question mark.

at the possibility of 9-7 Saints resting starters to gear up for the 13-4 Cowboys

The Saints lose to the Rams they're essentially out even with wins over Tampa and Atlanta. Every team with the same record would have the tiebreaker.

The Saints would not have the tiebreaker with the Falcons and Bucs if they finish with the same record. The Rams, Vikings and Packers would all have the 7th seed tiebreaker over the Saints. Even the Seahawks would have tiebreakers over the Saints due to NFC conference records. It's a must win

If we lose Thursday night, our only chance is Jacksonville beating the Bucs.

Its ludicrous for the NFL to make a team travel across country to play a Thursday night game with playoff implications. Short week games should only involve same division opponents.

The only game we can lose is against the Bucs and
Would need Seattle to drop one,

Or NO loss to Rams (+ win out) and TB loss to Jags as well

Saints have to win out. They lose Thursday and the Bucs have the inside track. Jags are skidding big time.

Hell yeah friend. Two titans of the NFC who are both getting hot at the same time. Thursday is going to be a very important game. We shall see who prevails.

Would love for it obviously, but we have won the last 2 games in a row and that is only the 2nd time in Dennis Allen's coaching career that he's won multiple games in a row! The only time prior coming last year on a 3 game winning streak in weeks 15,16,17. Odds are definitely not in our favor expecting Allen to win the next 3 putting together a 5 game winning streak.

The team has played better the last 2 weeks so I hope that continues and that speaks more about us and not just an indication of the 2 teams that we played, which being honest are not very good teams
