This talk of Eric Bieniemy not getting a HC job. Did anyone clamor for Pete Carmichael?

He was OC (haha) running some great offenses from 2009-2019 and, yet, he never sniffed a HC opportunity.
I guess he’s the wrong color?
No one wants Eric Bieniemy because he’s the black Pete Carmichael.

Andy Reid is the reason that offense is successful. He went 12-4 with Alex smith killing it in that offense.

If you think Pete was running those offenses… post less.

I think that's his point. Bienemy is a benefactor of Reid and Mahomes. Give him Andy Dalton and let him run the show and he's 5-12 or 6-11.

There is 1 coach who is successful on offense without a QB.
Kyle Shannahan.
Everyone else loves and dies with their QB.
Look at Zach Taylor. Never called plays in LA. Under McVey an offensive Genius. Wasn’t even the OC. Gets a HC job. Goes 2-14 before he gets Joe and then goes 2-4 after he gets hurt. 0-1 in games without Joe in 2021. He’s like 4-19 without Joe.

Worst thing he could do is take a head coaching job. He’s fail miserably like so many other “coordinators”. Just do what makes you happy

Eric Bienemy’s entire career is walking into elite players: Adrian Peterson, Jamaal Charles, and Patrick Mahomes. Dude was a running backs coach to Adrian Peterson who was generational and Jamaal Charles who was one of the best weapons in the league for several years.
Coaches don’t get credit for elite players being elite players.

I'm surprised he hasn't at least gotten a shot, but one thing I keep seeing pop up with him is he doesn't ever present a clear plan on how he wants to run things. Doesn't seem organized.
ETA Adam Gase seemed to keep finding head coaching gigs, someone really just needs to take a flyer on Bieniemy and find out once and for all.

Why doesn't he get a chance, though? Four or five of McVay's assistants are HC's. Maybe one of them will succeed but that's apparently not the point. McVay makes a lot of guys looks smart and all of them except for his DC are given the keys to the castle. Josh McD ran the Broncos into the ground in 2 goddamn years and there he is in Vegas, up to his old tricks. Give Bienemy that job and see if he can do better. Frank Reich? Nathaniel Hackett? Kliff fricking Kingsbury?!
I'm not a "play the racism card" kinda guy but if it looks like a duck and walks like a duck...

What black coach would be perfect as the Saints head coach?

Maybe he has dislikable personality, maybe he comes off the wrong way, maybe he is like most of you in this post and interviews with the attitude of "I'm black so they're going to hire me" and he doesn't give a frick.
Or maybe he goes in with the idea pushed in most things now where, we have to hire a black person, so he may assume that he just gets the job.
My thing is these white BILLIONAIRES have became billionaires without the league forcing hiring policies down their throats, these same billionaires have made everyone in the league rich doing it their way. There have been black coaches, quarterbacks, et...
So if they want a Rooney rule, let's go to the extreme they want. Everytime is required to tryout white players for cornerback positions before they can sign the deon sanders of the world.
Hell let's go a little further, at least one out of the 12 playboy centerfolds a year has to be transexual and holding his sausage in the layout.
How ridiculous do y'all want to go

I swear I remember him getting HC interviews, maybe Indy a while back for one, but obviously he didn't get a HC job.

There are some things in past that are hurting him also.

I wish some team would hire Eric Bieniemy so racist fricks would shut up about it. If he gets a HC gig and fails then they will blame the white GM for not giving EB’s team weapons to win with.

The only thing that MAY satisfy them is for Jerry Jones to give his franchise to the and sign paperwork saying: this is my gift to you, you are owner, GM and coach. You do not owe me a penny for it and the caveat is when something goes wrong you can always fall back on blaming Jerry jones
