Picking Strief to do it was crazy and random. I thought they would've do a national search and got professional radio guy to come in and do it.

T o m m y T o d d from Westwood 1. Always sounded like a guy you could score from if that's what you wanted.

Well 985boy, he hasn’t changed all season. He still does a terrible job of giving down and distance. His call of the Thomas TD was good though. The rest still sounds like the 100.3 high school game of the week. The Saints are too good this year to have him in the booth with douche bag Garic on the sideline.

I’d give you 2 years to train and still bet the house that you couldn’t do half as good as the guys you’re crying about

Garic isn't on the sideline anymore

that's Steve Geller

Garic's taken Bellevia's spot next to Bobby Hebert in the Countdown to Kickoff & Point After

I thought his call on the late Thomas TD was awesome.

I love his excitement but he’s still not that good as a pbp guy

His chemistry with Deuce is working well for him and that helps

I listened for about 15 minutes while running an errand in the first quarter, and he’s just not good. I have no idea what’s going on.

The Watson 32 yard catch was a good example, here’s the jist of the call:

Strief : “Brees throws it, and OMG Watson caught the ball”

Deuce: “ Great Catch”

No description of where he caught the ball, no down or distance. He’s just not very descriptive, and it keeps me from visualizing where and when the play is happening in real time.

Well no shite. I’m not a radio guy. It’s a talent and a skill. You either have it or you don’t. He doesn’t have THE radio voice. He sounds like an ameuture because that’s what he is. I’m guessing not many professional organizations have ever made a similar hire.

Bro Strief still blows. His excited voice is awful.

Can’t be any worse than drunk Hebert up there not picking on Bobby I liked when he talked to Jim Mora earlier this year after the redskins game

flat out wrong. His voice in the highlights calls had depth, enthusiasm, and were flat out great. Here we are, 8 games into his PbP calling career.
