I don't think it should be a flag, but it was thrown correctly according to the rule.

This is where I stand.

Not slam him on his head which could have caused Williams great injury. It was just an attempt at a brutal, vicious type of tackle with intent on trying to hurt the man, period, totally uncalled for and I think the flag was justifiable.

No it wasn't, dummy. If we'd done the same thing, I'd have expected a penalty too.

That kind of bullshite is going to get flagged in the NFL, college, CFL... anywhere.

What else was he supposed to do to a ball carrier trying to advance and he has him from behind?

You can't bodyslam a ball carrier like that. A slam like that could've broke the neck and/or spine depending on how he lands.

Hopkins should've been ejected for that.

If a lineman did that to brees, would you feel the same?

This, but in years past, it would have been no foul.

then we found out about the long term effects of CTE and had multiple hall of famers off themselves and thought hmm maybe that was a bad idea.

You can add in hes a skinny little shite that can't tackle. That's why he doesn't play defense

This has been a flag for as long as I can remember.

Back in 2006, Roman Harper suplexed Donald Driver and was flagged, and in 2014, a Vikings player did this to Brees, and was flagged.

In years past you couldn’t throw a forward pass. What’s your point?

Have you watched football before? That is about as blatant as it comes.

You can't call the hit on the placekicker on the XP, and not call this penalty.

Now, one can argue that neither should have been called.

This sounds like a cuck's perspective for day to day situations.

It's not the 80s when you could pile drive somebody and get cheered. Hopkins clearly committed a foul. I was surprised he wasn't ejected.

No, it's not tacky.

I have seen that called before.
