He did for 10 mil. Sorry I meant Dante fowler.

to rebound off of wasting Baun as an edge linebacker for years, I will not be surprised if Staley will develop Nephi Sewell into that same type of roll.

I love what I see from him. I believe he can be a starter. Other than Sewell I only think Ford could develop.

so I think another speedy LB is a must draft.

Saadhiq Charles just came back from being retired for a yr.

He would be a cheap option at lg.

Yeah I think our WR room at best could be described as pedestrian, made even worse by Olave and Carr being a bad fit for each other . In todays NFL you ideally have two above average ones because the funnel target hogs aren’t as much of a thing.

I wouldn’t be upset about drafting one in round 1 but this class is meh and we have needs elsewhere…but also unsure about paying Olave too

C and RB are the only two positions that I think we are above average at...maybe MLB if Davis can hold on for one more year.

So, I guess it depends on how you define needs.

DT depth seems ok especially with drafties.
DE pricey.
Oline better quality backups at all positions.
RB if anything out there.
Safeties
WR big bodies

RB???

Hard disagree. Kamara is getting up in age for a RB.

There's nothing you can rely on behind him.

WR is a huge need. I rather draft here and not spend much money in FA on declining vets.
I agree with this, but if we can find value like the Ravens did with Hopkins (yes old and over the Hill, but he knows the game and can pass on some knowledge) for 5 mil or less it might be worth a look. I do think we need to draft a guy for long term prospects as well though.

I do not think we should spend over 5 mil on a FA wr. Save that big signing for a corner, get a cheap starter at LG, and look to hammer the draft.

I strongly agree with both of you and I'm sort of holding out hope we can get Keenan Allen (played for Moore in LA) on a cheap deal like this. 5 might be low though.

I’m not enamored with the WR class either. And the odds of a rookie WR becoming a key cog at the position year 1 is slim. We still need one in the draft somewhere but it’s doubtful they’re ready to be a guy year 1

The OL is the most glaring need. You need at least 3-4 guys - a starter at Guard, capable backup tackles, another backup at guard who could hopefully play center too. There just isn’t enough resources to effectively fill every hole on this team

Agree with all points.

I am very surprised they still haven't addressed OL but there are still guys out there.

I think they need at least 1 starter type in FA, one backup type in FA, and draft maybe 2 guys.

Its bad

i wonder if membou can be a dark horse in draft. moore with mizzou connections. membou can be starting LG day 1 with the prospect of moving to RT if penning doesn't get extended and/or depth of injury scenario.

That is the problem. Some holes are going to be "filled" by some lackluster vets and some UDFAs. It is what it is.

Its just how it is when you draft very poorly and you can't spend the money other teams can. You are just not going to have talented depth, and we don't.

Allen is exactly who I was thinking of. If he comes cheap definitely go grab him. His market isn't hot and there are a glut of aged WRs in FA right now, so the market should bring the price down. Cooper will probably be the most expensive of the older bunch, and I think he will struggle to get more than 10 to 12 mil

You don't think Kamara is a better than average RB?

You don't think Kamara / Kendre Miller is a better than average RB Corps?

We definitely disagree. It just makes my point stronger though. Almost the entire roster is a need.

That's cool, but you do know that we are definitely not winning now, right? We're still in top 10 pick territory, and nothing we do this year sans a flawless draft changes that.

Get pissed if you want, but I'm rather that than a definite top 3 pick. It's just gonna add a year to the back end of this thing.

All these positions need to be filled with a STARTER caliber player.

LG
CB
WR
Pass Rush OLB

Other positions like D-line & O-line depth, RB, & QB can be found through the draft in mid rounds or through the tail end of free agency.

We need a pass rusher. We had no pass rush last year. We don’t have a decent pass rusher this year. I want a good DE or pass rushing OLBer. That and LG are the biggest holes.

We need a #1 WR and a CB. Those are the second biggest holes.

The way RB operates in the modern era and the way Kamara has always played, a 2nd RB is pretty essential.

Kamara is getting old for a RB, and was never a guy that was going to get a bunch of carries in a game. And he has had some health issues.

Miller doesn't exist as far as I am concerned.

We need a legitimate #2
