We almost never predict what Loomis is gonna do.

A wish list isn't for trying to predict. It's like our Christmas letter to St. Mickey. It's kinda who we would want if they were available. At #15 last year we were able to hone it down pretty tight. At the time of the pick our list was (# they were selected)-
Jarvis Jones (17)
Shariff Floyd (23)
Ogletree (30)
Xavier Rhodes (25)
Bjorn Werner (24)
Vaccaro

So we were actually close on the Jones valuation with him going #17. Loomis & Co. just showed us why they are smarter. Kenny V ended up 3rd in Defensive Rookie of the Year voting. Just to note how imprecise drafting is, NFL Def ROY Sheldon Richardson was #13, 2nd was Kiko Alonso #46, and 4th was honeybadger #69. The first 5 defensive players drafted didn't get any votes.

1.Mosely- Would love to see him and Lofton together, his rush D worries me at times

2.Matthews- All around WR with great hands and finds a way to get open

3. Verrett- Dude is a baller. Yea hes short but I think he would be a great toy in Rob's D.

4. Cooks- wish he was taller, but he is a playmayer and has great hands

5.Lee- solid WR. Doubt he's there

6. Donald- very underrated he will be a beast. Just not a big need for us.Doubt he's there anyway

7.Fuller- very physical great tackler wouldn't mind him

8.Roby- very aggressive and fast. Sometimes too aggressive wouldn't mind him though

9. Ford- Idk he seems like a big playmaker, but his bust potential is a little high

10. Ebron- not much of a need, but he is a baller. Doubt he's there

11.Beckham- He is good. Don't want though he has trouble written all over him

12.Ealy- meh, don't know much about

13. Shazier- dude is bad

I don't have enough knowledge on every single one of these guys to make a list so I feel that I'd be half-assing it but I do feel as if ALOT of teams will pass on Verret because of the new "big corner" movement. I would love to have the guy, though. I think he will be a very good pro football player.

I also started off thinking WR in the first but the closer it gets to the draft the more I'm against the idea. I'm opening up more to the idea of Ebron because having both him and Graham in 2 TE sets would be sick. I feel like he's a safer pick than guys like Beckham. The idea looks especially nice if we pick a good value mid-round receiver. ( A guy like Jeff Janis or Landry would make me happy.)

There are so many guys in this draft that I'd love for us to pick it's ridiculous.

I forgot to add that Mosley would be my favorite of all of the list.

And I get that were going off of what everyone said, but I dont see Donald, Mosley, Ebron, and Cooks being there. And Im a little skeptical on Shazier being there as well.

I think it's just wishful thinking that we left him out of the top 15 lock list.. extremely unlikely he falls to us

Walterfootball had an article about him and a GM told them that he may be there early in the second. ILB just isn't a highly valued position (Lofton and Hawthorne were pretty bad last season and we still finished with a top 5 defense).

Or it's like saying that is something the sets him apart from the other comparable cb's

VA tech blitzed fuller up the middle alot, and it was effective.

Youre right, totally just want him for his blitzing ability; coverage be damned. Knucklehead

ETAS: Dude is just physical and can do just about anything that cb can be asked to do; that's why I like him

How much of a chance is there that Mosley falls to #27?

So as of me and counting 12 voters so far, the standings are as follows:

1) Mosley (2)
2) Matthews (5.58)
3) Cooks (5.83)
4) Verrett (6.41)
5) Fuller (6.5)
T6) Ebron (7.08)
T6) Roby (7.08)
8) Lee (7.16)
9) Donald (7.75)
T10) Shazier (8.66)
T10) OBJ (8.66)
12) Ford (8.75)
13) Ealy (9.5)

Some things that stood out. Obviously Mosley is the clear favorite. Shazier was the most polarizing player of the bunch, people either had him at the top or bottom, no middle ground. Same to an extent for Ebron; three top-2 finishes and 5 double-digit finishes. Ford and Ealy are, unsurprisingly, at the bottom of this list.

I don't have the link, but read an article a few weeks ago that several gm's & scouts were down on the guy. Something about a lingering injury and how many recent bama players not translating to the NFL. There was alot of speculation that Mosley could drop out the first round possibly all the way to the 3rd. I will dig around and see if I can find the article.

Thrill missed your post where you brought this up. Any way heres the link also some good info about some QB's dropping in the draft.

1 Ebron - No way he's there so if he is, you take him. Graham and Ebron would be great and if Ebron turns into a stud, JG is expendable.
2 Verrett
3 Fuller
4 Cooks - Have him as my first WR because he has the added benefit of being a return man.
5 Matthews - Love this kid and don't think it's a reach to take him at 27.
6 Lee
7 Mosley
8 Roby
9 OBJ
10 Donald
11 Ealy
12 Ford
13 Shazier
