re: Saints gave up a 7th rounder to take next years 2nd this year

If you use that logic we also gave up a 3rd this year to use next year's 2nd now. We are Net -1 pick to get Kamara. Not a good value IMO

Williams (6’1/202) made 30 starts in three years at Utah before turning pro, amassing 11 interceptions and four forced fumbles while working primarily as a center-field, single-high free safety. PFF College also charted Williams with the highest run-stop percentage among all Division-1 safeties in 2016, and the No. 2 tackle efficiency rating. Williams proceeded to blow up the Combine with 93rd-percentile SPARQ results, including an outrageous 43 ½-inch vertical. He also aced the Wonderlic (34) and is young for a rookie, not turning 21 until September. We’re not sure why Williams didn’t generate more pre-draft buzz. He checks boxes across the board as a high-ceiling safety prospect.

Wtf...they're totally different style safeties.

I agree 100%. Dude is a playmaker and the definition of a ball hawk. Him and Lattimore are a great 1-2 punch in the defensive backfield. Also to the people clamoring for Willis...have you actually watched him? The guy has almost no bend and limited pass rushing skills. That scares the shite out of me for a EDGE as far as a smooth transition to the NFL where you can't just rely on athleticism.

Not to mention we STILL have pick 32 to get yalls beloved pass rusher. Seriously this was an amazing pick that I didn't even think was possible 3 hours ago. Be happy people.

Are there seriously people complaining about the Lattimore pick? He's a top 5 guy in this draft period and he was gift wrapped to us. One of the better CB prospects in years. Stfu

Yeah i feel you. To be honest I've seen Jackson projected all over Day 3. And a couple of the sites I use have him in the 200s so I went with it. But you're not wrong; it wouldn't shock me at all to see him go as high as the late 3rd.

PD18 Final 1st Round mock w/all Saints picks
Posted by PurpleDrank18 on 4/27/17 at 9:12 am
No trades.
I'll say this has been one of the tougher years to mock. Tons of good players with a lot of volatility in who goes where.
1. Cleveand - Mitchell Trubrisky, QB UNC
2. San Francisco - Myles Garrett, EDGE Texas A&M
3. Chicago - Jamal Adams, S LSU
4. Jacksonville - Leonard Fournette, RB LSU
5. Tennessee - Marshon Lattimore, CB Ohio State
6. New York (J) - O.J. Howard, TE Alabama
7. Los Angeles (C) - Malik Hooker, S Ohio State
8. Carolina - Christian McCaffery, RB Stanford
9. Cincinnati - Solomon Thomas, DL Stanford
10. Buffalo - Corey Davis, WR Western Michigan
11. New Orleans - Jonathan Allen, DL Alabama
12. Derek Barnett, EDGE Tennessee
13. Arizona - Rueben Foster, LB Alabama
14. Philadelphia - Gareon Conley, CB Ohio State*
15. Indianapolis - Hasson Reddick, LB, Temple
16. Baltimore - Mike Williams, WR Clemson
17. Washington - Malik McDowell, DL Michigan
18. Tennessee - Evan Engram, TE Ole Miss
19. Tampa Bay - Dalvin Cook, RB Florida State
20. Denver - Garrett Bolles, OL Utah
21. Detroit - Zach Cunningham, LB Vanderbilt
22. Miami - Forrest Lamp, OL, Western Kentucky
23. New York (G) - David Njoku, TE Miami
24. Oakland - Jarrad Davis, LB Florida
25. Houston - Deshaun Watson, QB Clemson
26. Seattle - Ryan Ramczyk, OL Wisconsin
27. Kansas City - Charles Harris, EDGE Missouri
28. Dallas - Taco Charlton, EDGE Michigan
29. Green Bay - Tre White, CB LSU
30. Pittsburgh - Tyus Bowser, EDGE/LB Houston
31. Atlanta - Tak McKinnley, EDGE UCLA
32. New Orleans - Patrick Mahomes II, QB Texas Tech
42. Fabian Moreau, CB UCLA
76. Curtis Samuel, Offensive Weapon Ohio State
103. Kendall Beckwith, LB LSU
196. Jalen Reeves-Maybin, LB/S(ish? Hybrid) Tennessee
229. Eddie Jackson, S Alabama (alternate Travin Dural, WR LSU)
*I understand everything going on with Conley but this was done before shite hit the fan. Regardless from what I've read/heard teams loved this guy, his character, his interviews. Never had an issue beforehand. He's such a good talent and Philly is so desperate they end up pulling the trigger. Seems like Conley's side may be right anyway especially if there's video that backs him up.

Trade Cooks/11/extra pick to TEN for 5/18
5. Adams
18. Taco
42. Mahomes
76. Moreau
Then just BPA at this point in the draft IDC, just get players you think can develop into ballers.

re: Drop Eddie Lacy- placed on IR
Posted by PurpleDrank18 on 10/20/16 at 12:55 pm to GynoSandberg
Don't you think it says something about Jackson though, that he was only called up when the team was basically forced to do so. Last week for instance, instead of add him to the 53, they went into the game with one "healthy" RB, and probably felt if something happened to LAcy, they'd rather use TyMo than Jackson? I think Davis has a better shot of being fantasy relevant these next few weeks. I think the better add (if you have the bench space or IR spots) is Starks. He'll be back in a few weeks and i suspect when he returns it's basically his job. You'll have a decent starting RB for the end of the season plus fantasy playoffs.
re: Gurley/ARob Trade
Posted by PurpleDrank18 on 10/18/16 at 1:53 pm to Shunface
This pretty much my exact thought process. I feel Robinson and Gurley are pretty much the same player/situation at different positions. It just gives me the luxury of RB depth, and him WR (which he needs similar to me at RB).
Gurley/ARob Trade
Posted by PurpleDrank18 on 10/18/16 at 1:46 pm
His Gurley for my ARob
.5ppr
Current players:
RB - Zeke, Mathews, Morris, Darkwa, Forsett, D. Lewis [IR slot]. (Yes, I know this is dogshite. I lost Woodhead, Sims and Vereen this year)
WR - Green, Jordy, ARob, Shepard, Meredith, Woods
I know I have a lot of WR depth and none at RB, I'm just worried about Gurley and the Rams' O. Is it possible to get more for Arob? Or is this probably going to be the best value I can get for him?

I would say at this point the only way they have even a shot is if Lousiville wins the ACC with 1 loss or less. OU isn't looking like it's going to be the big win it was supposed to be preseason, and the rest of that schedule is dog shite.

re: Allen Robinson Trade
Posted by PurpleDrank18 on 9/21/16 at 12:44 pm to GynoSandberg
kinda my thinking too. I'm starting to get scared with Langford because Fox clearly doesn't like him, but is forced to play him because at this point he feels there's no better option. If Carey or Howard start to show something I could see this becoming a full blown RBBC or one of the other 2 edging out the lead down the road.
Only thing that snags me on this is the pick.

Give Langford, Moncrief and conditional 8th or 11th round pick next year in a frsh 3-keeper draft. Receive ARob
.5 PPR
WRs: Green, Jordy, Shepard, Enunwa, Dorsett
RBs: Zeke, Mathews, Sims, Morris, Vereen
I'm way overthinking this right? Gotta do it?
