So what are the Saints going to do at TE?

Juwan is fine, but after that... Lucas Krull? Do NOT say Taysom. Any good free agents still looking for a spot? Shame about Foster Moreau, he could've slid right in.

We did grab up a four year TE from Alabama as a blocker so maybe not all is lost LoL.
Not many options now but plenty when camp cuts start.
I think thats the plan for depth unless they know something we all don't.

He has stage 2 cancer. It’s treatable, but VERY unlikely he could have treated in enough time to be ready to play a NFL season. He’s got far more to focus on than playing football this year

There’s many a dude on the free agent market that can replace / improve over trautman.
Woulda been great to add some talent at TE.
Trading trautman is probably addition bh subtraction in terms of roster depth.

From personal experience, the treatments are often very rough and can have quite an effect. Of course, everyone's body reacts differently. Hopefully his is not bad.

I don't think the officials will give the same penalty benefits to the Saints the way they gave the Vikings, in the playoff loss a few years ago. ( Rudolph pushoff)
Besides he is older, I don't think he has much left in the tank

The Pats just signed Gesicki...maybe see if Hunter Henry is available? Maybe we could get Tyler Higbee or Tyler Conklin, but I don't think they are much of an upgrade.

If they think Moreau has a chance to play at all this year, they could sign Vannett back to compete for a spot as a blocking TE.

We need to sign a vet for sure, but we did sign 2 UDFAs. I literally know nothing about either—could 1 emerge as the 4th TE? 3rd in a pinch if somebody gets injured?
