If sanders makes quicker reads, he wouldnt take as many sacks. The dude is too risk-averse when it comes to sack avoidance. Runs backward too much

Neither Shedeur or Dart are a TOP 15 pick.

I want no part of Sanders. I wouldn't draft a QB this year anyway. I would draft players who could play right away and work on getting a QB next season.

I've watched the last 20 of his games. Every play. Here is what most people don't know:

1) The colorado offensive line 2 years ago was one of the worst offensive lines I've ever seen.
2) The colorado offensive line last year was only slightly better but still significantly below average.
3) Colorado had one of the worst rushing attacks in football the last two years (2.3 yards per carry in 2023 and 2.5 yards per carry in 2024). They literally could not run the ball.
4) The offensive design was terrible both years. No motion. Nothing to confuse the defenses. It was "pin your ears back and rush" for the defense. Everything they did was because of above average receivers and an excellent QB.
5) He is extraordinarily accurate. One of the most accurate QBs I've seen in college. His deep ball is elite.

IMO, dude is a franchise QB who was in a bad system with a terrible OL and no running game and he still put up elite numbers. Put him in a real pro offense with real OL and rushing attack and he will thrive.

You guys are selling him short. He's going to be an excellent NFL QB.

I am in the take him or Dart category. Hell, I would swing and go take Ward. In the NFL, you either have your QB or you are looking for your QB. Carr is done after this season and you aren't getting a good one in FA. If you like either of them, you take them. End of story.

While I agree his OLine was terrible, he just doesn't have the "it" factor to me. If he wasn't who he is by name, I'm not sure he wouldn't be a mid round rated pick.

I fully accept I could be 100% wrong, but just not a fan.

If they do pick him, I will be cheering him on next season.

Also, from an ownership standpoint, you have basically had a fan revolt at the product the last few seasons. Picking any of the top QBs will energize the fanbase.

In 2024, between Sanders & Dart, Sanders had a higher completion percentage & more TD passes. Both played lines that didn't hold up very well in pass pro & their run games were basically nonexistent.

The biggest difference between the two is that Sanders played in a more advanced NFL style offense under Pat Shurmur that required more of him both pre & post snap. Dart played in an uptempo, no huddle offense that was required only observing half of the field & making one read. The differences in the offenses puts Shedeur in position of advantage in terms of being more NFL ready. Dart's only current advantage over Sanders is his running ability.

I'm really beginning to wonder if Garrett Nussmeier had declared for the draft, where would the discussion of him possibly going at in this draft be at right now. Nuss doesn't have the running ability as Dart yet their passing numbers from 2024 are similar. Athletically, Nuss & Shedeur are pretty much mirror images of each other & both come from offenses that require similar pre & post snap reads. In this draft, I would feel the same about Nuss as I do Dart. #9 is too high of a risk to take him but anywhere on the back end of the 1st on down would be fine.
Now discuss level of competition and defenses each faced.

Have you watched both play? Sanders pocket presence is not good and he drifts a lot, causing sacks. Sanders does have to make more reads, but against much weaker defenses. Dart's arm talent is much better than Sanders as is his deep ball.

No, Sanders isn't a runner but I don't understand how anyone can properly judge him & say he has no pocket presence when he spent both seasons running for his life while getting beat the frick up behind that garbage offensive line. They couldn't run the ball either.

Deion's approach of completely overhauling the Buffs roster through the portal allowed Colorado to attract a nice group of skill position players yet the problem was the trenches on both sides of the ball. The Buffs sucked at pass pro. They could run nor stop the run & they couldn't find a pass rush either. While Deion's overhauling through the portal made Colorado competitive, the lack of continuity along both lines caused a shite load of problems.
You must either watch exclusively CO or are biased. Running for his life does not equate pocket presence. He has a bad habit of drifting backwards when he feels a rush instead of moving side to side to avoid sacks. He creates many sacks with the lack of feel. Dart did not have a great pass pro either but used athleticism to get out of trouble against much better defenses. I am not sure either are worth the #9, but I would lean towards Dart later in the 1st over Sanders based on what I have seen. Dart also has huge completive fire and drive.

Dart did not do so against Kentucky, LSU & Florida in 2024. And there are plenty of other examples in games going in 2022 & 2023 as well.
