Media is propping this kid up like they did Biden. I think he has good talent but he will be a complete locker room nightmare and will be a head case.

If Shedeur is still available at 9, I'd sprint to the podium. His floor is low end starter and his ceiling is top 10 (even if it may take him a few years to get there).

Based on what? His last name?

Based on what? He constantly played while being hurt while at Colorado. He played the entire bowl game even when it got of hand & was limping doing so.

Pocket presence, progressions, leadership skills

In 2024, between Sanders & Dart, Sanders had a higher completion percentage & more TD passes. Both played lines that didn't hold up very well in pass pro & their run games were basically nonexistent.

The biggest difference between the two is that Sanders played in a more advanced NFL style offense under Pat Shurmur that required more of him both pre & post snap. Dart played in an uptempo, no huddle offense that was required only observing half of the field & making one read. The differences in the offenses puts Shedeur in position of advantage in terms of being more NFL ready. Dart's only current advantage over Sanders is his running ability.

I'm really beginning to wonder if Garrett Nussmeier had declared for the draft, where would the discussion of him possibly going at in this draft be at right now. Nuss doesn't have the running ability as Dart yet their passing numbers from 2024 are similar. Athletically, Nuss & Shedeur are pretty much mirror images of each other & both come from offenses that require similar pre & post snap reads. In this draft, I would feel the same about Nuss as I do Dart. #9 is too high of a risk to take him but anywhere on the back end of the 1st on down would be fine.

You’ve lost your mind BAW!!

1. Sanders has far better pocket presence and poise.
2. Sanders makes quick reads within the design of the pass play tree from options 1-5.
3. Their arm talent is pretty equal, but Sanders is more accurate.

No, Sanders isn't a runner but I don't understand how anyone can properly judge him & say he has no pocket presence when he spent both seasons running for his life while getting beat the frick up behind that garbage offensive line. They couldn't run the ball either.

Deion's approach of completely overhauling the Buffs roster through the portal allowed Colorado to attract a nice group of skill position players yet the problem was the trenches on both sides of the ball. The Buffs sucked at pass pro. They could run nor stop the run & they couldn't find a pass rush either. While Deion's overhauling through the portal made Colorado competitive, the lack of continuity along both lines caused a shite load of problems.

All of that sounds like we would be drafting a young Derek Carr

Nuss isn't the alpha dog that Shedeur is.

Maybe Nuss will take that leap this year.

Truth is the majority of posters refuse to logically respond to post like this. These draft decisions mostly are popularity contests filled with the hottest of the hot takes. Mostly words without any substance.

Let this season play out first before making such a statement.

Nice edit. I've watched all 3 seasons of Coach Prime as well as a lot of practice footage of Shedeur. Same goes for Nuss. At Colorado, Shedeur was never a rah rah guy but when he spoke his teammates listened & responded. Nuss is more vocal yet playful at the same time. Both are solid leaders though. Shedeur is the son of a Hall of Famer. Nuss is the son of an ex NFL Qb turned OC/QB coach. They been around ball all their lives & understand how to lead.

You have to respect the fact Nuss returned for his senior season but not only that, he lead the charge in helping in portal recruiting which ultimately lead to LSU having the #1 transfer class in the nation.

The Tigers 2025 receiving corps maybe the deepest & most talented group they've ever had which says alot considering the corps of 2013, 2019 & 2023. If the interior of the offensive line improves & can consistently keep Nuss from getting pressure right in his face, he's going to put up some ridiculous passing numbers this season.

I don't think there is a QB in this draft, who might be available at #9, that I would want the Saints to draft.
