I want Shough to start next week and go the rest of the season at starter so we can put this Shough Issue to rest once and for all time.

Shough’s Basement Potential is NFL Bust and his Highest of the Highest Ceiling Potential is Bottom Worst 3rd in NFL QB starters (mainly Career Backup).

But let’s see it…. Roll him out.

Problem is … there are No Franchise QBs in the 2026 Draft … so this question of Rattler versus Shough (both are not good) *** will continue not only thru the 2025 season but thru the ENTIRE 2026 season !!

So we’ll see a great deal of Shough and Rattler on the field THIS year and NEXT year. !!

I could careless about “voting” by others on my topics….. they are football related as per the site category of SaintsTalk.

People join the board to discuss football and that’s what I do.

When someone jumps into a thread… with no comment on the “topic” AT ALL but just enters with sole purpose of attacking….
I simply react in kind.

I’m fine if someone disagrees with me… disagreement brings further discussion….

But…

When you get a clown like Tigerbait2008 who just jumps into a thread to attack…no other comments made… that’s an issue.

You talk about topics being repetitive.

Topics can be short and sweet in a single sentence but topics are mostly NOT mutually exclusive.

Many topics overlap and dovetail into other topics because the driving force of one topic demands discussion of another topic.

For example,

1). If you discuss Shough starting and QBs on the Saints … the topic of the upcoming 2026 draft comes up as Saints will have a high draft pick and should they draft a QB despite having both Rattler and Shough.
Additionally… topics overlap as people note if Shough was a good draft pick at #40 in 2nd rd, whether the offensive line is too brittle to bring in Shough at this time at all .. or was Shough a decent college QB to be drafted by the Saints in the first place.

So… your simple subject of Shough starting in games…overlaps into about 5-6 other topics.
Again… topics seem mutually exclusive but they are NOT.

That’s why topics seem repetitive to you.

But a thorough discussion of a topic… brings in all these factors …. Otherwise, the discussion is truly not thorough.

I hated the pick also. But after we burned a top pick like that, we should in no way burn another high pick on a qb next year. That would be stupid. We need some defensive playmakers in this team.

Been burning way to many picks on the offensive line. And we don’t have any play makers on either side of the ball now.
