Last night on the radio, Eric Asher stated that 4 people from the Saints organization told him she didn't feel safe in NO. We do know Payton just built on house Uptown. You don't build a house and then leave. My thoughts...If true, we lost our coach bc of the crime in NO.

This isn't an issue for people with FU money.

NOLA is a shite hole.

You can never down play the impact of family in career decisions.

There is absolutely no truth to this story. There is no crime in NOLA since they removed any and all confederate statues.

rumor was he sold that house and moved into an apartment downtown area once she moved to dallas.

never heard anything about him building in uptown.

Don't blame her, I wouldn't want to live there either. But Mandeville is close enough.

That's surprising. Payton never seemed like an Uptown guy.

He's always been a sprawling mansion/gated-community/northshore kind of guy to me. His first wife couldn't even tolerate that. She was an even bigger mansion in a bigger city suburb kind-of-gal.

I don't doubt this ... I know a ton of NOLA lifers who are fed up with the city and looking to move. People that I never thought would ever leave the city. LaToya is gonna be the end of this franchise in NOLA

Yea, he built a house uptown. My friend was his contractor.

He’s got probably the coolest man cave I’ve ever seen and it’s behind a ‘hidden’ wall. So badass.

Here’s the real story - house uptown has already been sold. They are in the process of moving out now to the new condo in the four seasons.

Will split time between NOLA and their beach house for the next year. Crime is a factor also the fact that the house was a poor quality spec and has been a money pit. Crime was a factor but not primary.

A sabbatical has been a consideration for for 3 years - he promised his wife when he was engaged. My guess is he’s coaching next year.

I can believe this story. This City has been run into the ground on every level. Who would want to live in New Orleans or in a situation where you need to spend time in New Orleans?

Can’t blame her. New Orleans is arse. Just going to New Orleans is a task that I dread.

Wait, What? Sean Payton is running for Mayor of NOLA? So his wife will feel safe and the saints will stay?
