They even beat us during the scab season with Fourcade at QB! (I may be mixing a lot of seasons up so correct t me if I’m wrong) I vaguely remember a Monday night gave vs SF when Fourcade played.

Jerry Rice fumbling the ball through the end zone and our old buddy Ben Dreight (sp) calling it a TD

That was a long stretch of misery. Too many games with a lead but knowing Montana and company were going to wipe it out and win…

Never forget us winning 11-7 there in the 90s

Here’s your random piece of trivia. Saints for some reason do a fake XP, and convert it to go up 11-7.

The holder - former LSU QB Tommy Hodson

Yep. Those Saints teams had to contend with Joe Montana's 49'ers. 49'ers were one of the best teams of all time.
And then Steve Young’s 49ers.

Mora’s 1987 "I'm tired of saying coulda, woulda, shoulda. That's why we ain't good enough yet" came after a 22-24 Saints loss to the Niners.

It was torture because he and Finks knew they had (arguably) one of the top three teams in the league and were stuck in the Division with one of the two better teams.

Yup although iirc it was a bad snap? Maybe it was planned. I was 10 and in disbelief we won. Young missing the game was obviously a big help.

Oddly enough San Fran in the 90’s for the Saints is comparable to what Florida was to LSU in the 90’s.

To sum it up, Thorns in our side.

Still remember being at those 9er games wondering as a kid why we could never beat those SOBs even with the Dome Patrol.

Would be nice to see both teams get a W this weekend.

If the Saints can’t beat San Fran without Purdy and Kittle at home we might as well be prepared knowing we may not get a win this season.

the only Saints game I ever attended at the Dome, was against San Fran and we beat them. was the most fun I have ever had a sporting event, and solidified my love of the Saints.

2011 Saints could have won it all, but the Giants and Patriots were both good opponents who would have given them trouble.

Saints would have beaten the ever loving shite out of the Giants in the Dome in the NFCCG

13-10 Niners win, Saints led the whole game
17-16 Niners win, Saints led the whole game
16-13 Niners win, Saints led the whole game
20-17 Niners win, Saints led the whole game

You get the idea

that 20-17 win at frisco with Kenny STabler back in mid 80's was like winning the NFC championship. it was wild.
