IF Brees retires (which I don’t think he will), you go with Hill. Reason being is there is no FA available starter out there that can walk into this already built team and guide us to the Super Bowl. So we’d be wasting a ton of money for nothing.

That includes Teddy. I appreciate what he did this year but he’s not the long term solution. I don’t think Hill is either, but he’d be much cheaper to try out for a year. Worst case we suck next season and can draft someone in 2021.

The only other option is IF we can somehow manage to get a top QB in this draft. Which chances are slim to none as the only ones I see are Burrow and Tua this year.

I am with you. I don't see it with Taysom.

In all honesty, I wanted us to somehow grab Lamar. People told me I was an idiot.

Dude I don’t know shite about QBs but even I can see his throw isn’t normal. It’s slow, the ball doesn’t jump out of his hand, he throws side armed sometimes which doesn’t appear to be intentionally which is a difference between guys like Mahomes who can do it either way and chooose to do so. His arm angle seems all off and doesn’t look natural. And it doesn’t look like he gets any of his lower body into his throws.


His mechanics haven’t gotten any better since BYU. The dude can’t win with his arm and if Payton honestly believes this and isn’t trying to get a 1st rounder out of him or piss Drew off and play mind games with him, then it honestly shocks me. He had wonderful grades on Jimmy G and Mahomes we know but he also drafted Garrett Grayson. I don’t trust Payton implicitly. But hey if they want to roll with him a year, fine. Closer to a top 5 pick in my opinion

he threw for more yards than teddy in preseason.
he had a better qb rating than teddy.
he had more passing td's than teddy.
he threw for higher completion % than teddy.
he did all of this with less passing attempts than teddy.
on top of leading the saints in rushing with 148 yards brief qb play over 3-4 preseason play.
