What blows me away about people getting pissed off is that the Saints players are standing during the anthem. So what if they kneel before the anthem? I'm sitting down before it starts.
It is amazing how quickly it went from anger about disrespect for the flag/anthem to just being mad about the ptotests in general.
I think its just residual anger from the anthem thing and some people not realizing the change to not kneeling during the anthem combined with people just disagreeing with the message.

the players have essentially unlimited time and money to go take up their cause during the offseason. did any of them do it? instead they choose to bring it to the games. I watch football to watch football. I don't want to see protests, commercials, etc... just football.

Kenny Vaccarro couldn't cover a plate saran wrap, much less cover an NFL receiver, he's literally our biggest weakspot among the starting DBs, the young ones Crawley, Lattimore, and Williams are so good they're covering up the difficiencys in his play for the most part.

This whole thing has spiraled out of control, but you have zero clue whether they spend their time and money on their cause because no one gives a crap about that. I’m sure plenty of them actually do donate to charities and spend time in the communities.
People don’t want to hear about players spending time and resources on racial inequality just as much as theyre tired of the kneeling. It all boils down to the same thing.
Politics bleeding into football.
And lastly the ones that truly care about making a difference probably don’t give two craps about whether the public catches wind of it or not.

Between the diarrhea coming out of Vaccaro and the utter stupidity of Greg Bensel's PR piece to the military vet yesterday all I can say is I won't show up and my season tickets won't be resold or given away they will be shredded so that those seats produce zero additional revenue for you!

Do these guys not realize their pay is directly linked to the amount of people that want to watch them? Guess NFL players think their paychecks are just too big. the sport is already on a finite path because of the nature of concussions and rule changes, and then add on top of that, players taking useless actions to alienate the people who contribute to their income. Let's be honest, the main reason alot of these guys are kneeling, is bc they are being told not to.
I personally don't care either way about the protests, I'm still going to the games, but my respect for the intelligence of all these guys is dropping fast, and that's frustrating to me bc I like football, and I'd like to keep it alive as long as possible. Apparently some of the players don't care.

I don’t blame the Saints for defending themselves for trying to do something nice for someone and getting put on blast in return. The guy used the platform of a nice gesture to push his agenda against the NFL/Saints. I can understand why he used the platform, but I can also understand why the Saints are essentially going “WTH, why are we dealing with this for trying to honor someone?”

Well the original reasoning for the kneeling, and this comes straight from Kaepernick's mouth, is because he didn't want to stand for a flag and anthem of a country that oppresses black people.
He changed his tune when it pissed so many people off.
I'm sorry, but you can't change your entire narrative Midway because you realized you pissed everyone off.
The original meaning of the kneeling still resonates even if they're doing it before the anthem now.
That on top of using your employment to shove a political protest down your customers throats, when all they want is to watch football....it's just bad business and ill advised.
I mean, when I go get a coffee in the morning, my barista doesn't serve me an iced coffee with a side of political protest. If they did I probably would quit going.

How priveleged your life must be to make such an analogy.
-That's how easy it is to look past a perfect analogy

How about you go to a gas station to fill up your car. Before the employees turn on the pumps for you, you have to listen to their politics and the injustices they are up against? Pretty soon every gas station does this. Would be pretty annoying huh?

Could you imagine going into the DMV and hearing all the protests from the employees?

There is not enough time in the day, you would have to schedule vacation.

I hope he gets what he wishes for and the fans don't come or watch the games and the NFL as a whole is forced to start cutting salaries.

Just a quick pregame "frick you" to Kenny V - my least favourite Saint ever.
