I know there are other threads, but based off of other reported offers that have been rejected, I think we should have a speculation thread. We mostly know that the Texans have accepted the Saints and Panthers offers, and that Loomis was in Houston yesterday or today, so the offer has to be better than this:

Jets: 3 firsts, 1-2 seconds and Zach Wilson

Browns: 2 firsts, 1 fifth, Kareem Hunt, Greg Newsome, Baker Mayfield.

Dolphins: 3 firsts, two seconds

Now, there is a chance they would accept a lesser offer because either Watson does not want to go to those teams or they don't want to trade him to the AFC, but we would assume they would be similar.

So, to start it off, I think our next 3 first round picks are a given. I think Davenport is a lock to be the biggest player involved, due to his age, his talent, and the fact he plays one of the premium positions (QB, DE, LT, CB). I would think they would need another 2 second round picks and another high upside player. My money is on Erik McCoy. I think there will be one more player thrown in and I am calling my shot on it being Ian Book. You saw it with Seattle getting Lock, and the other offers including QBs, I think he will be the last piece of the trade.

So I would speculate that the deal will look like this:

2022 1st and 2nd
2023 1st
2024 1st and 2nd

Marcus Davenport, Erik McCoy and Ian Book.

I would expect Loomis to work out some swaps in there as well, so possibly we swap 4th or 5th round picks this year.

Peat is a multiple probowl player. Maybe we can convince them to take him.

I think it will probably look something like that. They might take Peat over McCoy.

I consider Ramczyk, Peat, MT13, AK, Cam Jordan and Lattimore off limits due to the fact they all just restructured, so their cap hits if traded would be prohibited.

I think the most likely players that will be traded are Davenport, McCoy, Onyamata, Ceedy Deuce, Turner, Ruiz, Werner, Trautman, Baun, Adebo or Landon Young.

This list is based on they are young guys on rookie deals (outside of Onyamata). The Texans are tanking, so I don't see where they would want to pick up an expensive second contract player.

Now it is the Texans, so we could possibly sell them on a Taysom trade, since he plays every position and they suck at everything. I would push Peat's probowl selection, and even try to trade them back Bradley Roby. Maybe we could just pawn off some Texas boys like LilJordan and Malcom Roach.

Looking at the Panther's roster, I could see them trying to trade them McCaffrey, Darnold, Brian Burns or Horn. Outside of them and maybe DJ Moore and Cam Erving, their entire roster sucks and doesn't seem to have any desirable players. Whoever they would have to give up to get Watson would probably make their roster worse then the current Texans.

Damn if we’re sending over 3 firsts can we keep one of those second rounders?

Your logic is sound and I agree. Davenport and McCoy make the most sense as the players to include in the package for the money, age, and what the Texans need.

I really hope if we give them three 1sts that we only do one 2nd. I am a little fearful about this team's ability to load the roster with the cap situation we're in (yes I know we can be flexible, but this strategy has been combined with the fact that we are loading the team with young talented players and have been for the last 5 drafts). I would be very afraid to give up all of our 1sts and 2nds for 3 drafts.

It is a shame Bill O Brien isnt the GM anymore

Mark Ingram and a 3rd rounder might have been enough to get this done already

Many of those offers have been rebuked as fake. NYJ said they never even made an offer.

I don't hate this. Not crazy about it, BUT he's a franchise QB, so I support it.

Yeah frick that shite. 5 top picks and players ain't worth it. Watson is a good QB but what has he done besides inflate stats on a bad football team.

Yeah he sucks. That's why like 10 teams have offered 3 first rounders plus 2 good players.
