When will that come?

You see everyone getting new stadiums. Even the bills and titans are getting brand new stadiums.

Is the super dome now the oldest nfl stadium?

Oh and bears new stadium

The Dome will be practically new once this phase of renovations is completed.

The State had agreed to build a new stadium right before Katrina, but never came to fruition for obvious reasons.

I believe it was proposed to be built on riverfront where Mardi Gras World currently sits.

Solid coloured endzones in those renderings - might as well ask for the seats to be made of solid gold.

We have been over this we are not getting a new stadium and nor should we. The Superdome is not only iconic, but it is in the perfect spot in the city, and with how inept this city government there is no way in hell. We need to be happy with what we got and improve where we can.

Port-au-Prince (North) is not going to be able to swing a $1.5 billion sports stadium for 12-15 play dates per year.

It's a sore subject here because locally the Dome is looked at like it's Lambeau or Soldier Field. But eventually the Saints will say they want a new stadium and all the $400 million dollar bandaids we put on a 50 year old stadium will mean nothing.

Ever hear of a stadium called Lambeau field?

And just because it’s new, doesn’t make it better.. Look at that piece of shite the Niners play in..

And that Bill’s new stadium will have that "cookie cutter" stigma in 20 years like most of the stadiums built in the 70’s eventually did.. The Dome was different and still is..

Why do you say that? Gayle Benson ownes the Benson Tower right next door to the Dome… I really don’t think they’ll demand a new building.

Not anytime soon in the near future. If they do it they’ll have to tear down the original and build the new one in the exact same spot because the location is perfect.

Gayle is 75 years old with no heirs. Saints president Dennis Lauscha is tasked with handling the sale upon her death and they've said there will be all these stipulations the team stay in NO.

But I expect it will turn out similar to when the Supersonics got sold. That OKC shitbag bought them and was saying he wanted to keep the team in Seattle. He immediately said "We want a new stadium" knowing damn well what would happen with the city so he could move the team.

This time though, I sincerely doubts the league stipulates the team stay here. Considering the shape the city is in, that Katrina goodwill faded a long time ago.

Our best bet is something new or planned before Gayle kicks the bucket. All you Dome purists know it too but keep lying to yourselves all the way until the team kicks off in a $3 billion stadium in San Antonio.

Jerry Jones will NEVER allow an NFL team in San Antonio.

Nor will his heirs.
