any wins the rest of the year and next year are lagniappe. can clean our cap up quite a bit with some post june 1st cuts. can start 2024 with a good 1st round draft choice and a manageable salary cap. let taysom be our qb the rest of this year and next. have some pressure free fun with it. it's all we got.

Start with GM. This loomis is untouchable crap needs to be thrown out the window. He has a lot of this on his shoulders

Honestly I think I’d like to see Loomis just get promoted out of the football office. Let him be Gayle’s right hand in full and prepare to take care of the franchises when she dies. No more actively touching football.

Promote Ireland or Khai Harley to GM.

Here’s the problem. The team has to be under the cap for 2023 by the time the new league year starts. That’s going to be very difficult unless we extend a few guys or do the ghost year thing.

post june 1st cuts. it'll be a lot less painful than kicking the can down the road and a lot cheaper than getting rid of them before that date.

There's gonna be restructures to be done (AK, Lattimore, ram, Mccoy). But this is when it needs to stop. We need a reset button going into '24

i can see thomas and peat getting the axe after june 1st with a quickness. there are some others. we could do jordan a solid and let him go after a super bowl while saving a metric ton of money. that would have to be an agreement between the two. jordan is one of my favorite all time saints. winston is definitely a post june 1st cut, at this point.

cutting thomas, jordan, peat and winston post june 1st puts us under the cap. i hate even writing jordan's name in there and would only want it if he wanted to pursue a ring.

That isn't how post June 1 cuts work. You have to carry the salary until June 2. It doesn't come off the books until then. We have to be under the cap before March 15. Post June 1 cuts won't give us any salary relief for the requirement by that date.

Like it or not, the team is going to have to make some hard decisions. Namely, they will likely extend a few players pretty far out, use ghost years, and convert some more salaries into bonus. At least a handful of those will end up hurting us in a few years. They really do not have a choice.

No QB

this shite needs to stop, dalton is a better and more productive QB with less turnovers, than brees was for us in the last 4 years he was still playing.

terrible HC, an OC who's play calling sucks, crappy GM, terrible players, unhealthy players, players on bad contracts, no 1st round picks. Not even a debate. We have the worst future of any team in the fricking NFL. We're doomed.

the rest of this is spot on. but with a different HC and OC we are at 6-2 or better with this same exact team. its not a great situation and we dont have the best players, but if payton, or any competent HC, we would be leading the division and talking about who we will play in the playoffs right now.

This is worth it for having a Superbowl win. Would have been even better if we didnt get screwed out of the chance for a 2nd one thanks to the no call. But everyone on Airline needs to see that it's time to rebuild and get the salary cap back in order.

Houston Texans have the worst owner, worst front office, worst coach, worst offense, and worst run defense in the NFL. They are by far the worst franchise in the NFL.

He's not terrible he just has to win his next 26 games to get to .500
Seems logical.
