The New Orleans Saints have no intention of requiring that our fans provide any confirmation of a COVID vaccination to attend our games. However, we do encourage our fans to get vaccinated.

The opposite of this was said on NOLA NPR radio this morning. So, which one is right?

Ok cool. So can we go back to not having political threads on ST now? Or we still doing that?

I would take it directly from the Saints, not NPR.

Probably not NPR if the other source is the actual team

Crying. This is the term you choose.

I didn't think this was ever coming from the Saints. I figured this was coming from Teedy and Avegno.

Unfortunately, I think those days are over for awhile. Politics has been mixed into sports too much right now. You will have people with strong opinions on both sides that will not allow the political shite stay away.

There's really no reason to do so... the kind of people who get vaccinated and are still afraid of getting sick are not going to football games anyway, so frick 'em. Clear out seats for rational people I say

it’s also a logistical nightmare and would basically have to be honor system either way.
how would you handle “checking” at the gate?
if you do it at ticket point of sale, how would it be digitally verified and how do you handle selling of tickets?
the whole thing is stupid

Getting vaccinated is a rational choice
Not getting vaccinated because you are young and healthy, or you've had COVID and recovered, is a rational choice
Getting vaccinated and then crying because people around you won't wear masks or stay six feet away from you is not a rational choice. And people who behave this way should stay in their houses and hide in their toilet paper forts for the rest of their lives.
