Couldn’t disagree more. We are building a hell of a roster.

Im not sure im sold with Goedert. He struggled getting speration from FCS school safeties and LBs... i dont think he’d be that big weapon we’d all want him to. Id rather trade up in second round since i think he will be there. Even towards the middle to later half. Lots of decent TE’s in this draft also.
Edit: Goedert has excellent hands and can block pretty well to give him some credit. Id love him on my team, but not with the 1st round pick. Id honestly hope we get some beef for our Dline if we dont sign anyone there in FA and find a TE with the 3rd rounder. I say this all assuming we sign a slot WR in FA (cough:Jordan Matthews:cough)

TE in first round would be a disaster.

TE’s take 3 years to develope (at least two).
Maybe to become an elite TE, but even as rookies good TE do well.
Goedert can block and if he produce like 400-500 yards and a handful of TDs, that's perfectly fine.
Fleener cannot win more 50/50 balls, that's his biggest knock.

. Didn't Gesicki beat him in literally everything at the combine?
Yea, Gesicki is better than him at everything but football.

TE is one of the positions with the smallest margin of impact in the first 2 years; I would think there is going to be another choice that is much smarter at this point for this team to make based on the odds with a QB at Drew's point in his career. He'd have to have one of the best TE rookie seasons in NFL history to make the impact you're probably hoping for.

Is this a fact?
More about leveraging your huge body between the ball and the defender as a TE anyway. Gronk isn’t great because he’s getting separation, for instance
A lot of these “burner” TEs are a new fad that often fizzle out.

Dang, i guess Jerry Rice had no business being the GOAT since he came from Mississippi Valley.
y'all need some better arguments on why he could succeed. This means nothing

The point is you can’t just dismiss him just because he played at the FCS level.

Owens played at Tennessee-Chattanooga and Moss played the first of his two years at Marshall when they’re were still Division 1-AA.

Im not, but surely you can understand separating from FCS players is not the same as NFL players. His workouts will be important.

We already have a "win now" team. Now we're going for dynasty.

Considering his height and vertical, paired with great hands; I don't care what school you played defense for, that's a tough cover assignment.

Like Gronk, a lot of TE's have that arm length to go grab the ball with strength and good hands that allows them to have such good numbers. We are talking about TE's. Safeties and OLB should be faster than them, statistically. So yeah I really do agree with what you say, but I still am not sold on him at #27. I think that is a mild reach for his value at this point. We shall see. I wouldn't be mad if we got him, to put it into perspective.
Is this a fact?

Have you watched tape? Lesser opponents don't make you come off the ground higher
