No way we left a 3rd on the table

You don’t even know what you are arguing right now. I literally said in my first post that McCoy needs to gain more weight.

You just admitted he needs to gain 10-12lbs

Please stop acting like a whiny child.

Obviously no one was willing to deal a 3rd or 4th or 5th rounder for him.with his play, age, and contract, i see why

No you’re acting like he’s not going to be good because he’s below the average of what guards are when that won’t be that big of a factor

Does he need to gain weight? Yes. But that won’t be the determining factor of whether he’s successful at guard

Saints list McCoy at 314 on the official roster. 303 was his combine weight.

Never once said he couldn’t be good at guard. Please point out where I said that, thank you

Ya. It’s hilarious that the Saints makes these moves and now Peat is great and Warford is garbage when a month ago everyone thought the opposite.

Just go ahead and say, “I’m gonna agree with the Saints on everything no matter what.”

Giving out grades is different than just posting pure stats. Please learn the different scrub. Their grading system is flawed.

The Saints have created a franchise that is a consistent competitor. Sean & Co have earned the benefit of the doubt in my eyes. For the past 5 years, most of the moves they've made which I questioned have turned out pretty darn well.

Exactly, we could've at least got a 3rd or 4th rounder or a CB.
So you think they just didn’t try?

Generally, just know offensive line play is one of the hardest to judge in the first place, then add to that 95 percent of the posters on this board are dumbasses. The number increases when encompassing the entire site.

Peat was never as bad as people thought and they hold an example of him getting beat by the best defensive player in the NFL and a future hall of famer Aaron Donald as to why he sucks and to confirm their thoughts.

I don’t think the Saints are necessarily cutting Warford because of his play. They weren’t happy with him coming in out of shape, but he wasn’t bad by any stretch. I feel like this has more to do with getting more flexible and athletic up front in hopes of opening up the offense horizontally some more, whether that’s through screens or outside runs/pulls.

It also doesn’t hurt to save $7 mil

Perhaps Warford wasn’t great but he also wasn’t garbage? If he’s a top 25 OG that means he’s in the top 40% of the starting OGs in the league. So if he was around top 25, he’d be above average but certainly not great and worth $7-8M.

Yea I don’t really get it

You spend a 1st & two 2nds to draft centers in back to back years

Allocate $33mil to Peat guaranteed yet you cut your productive, reliable pro bowler

Just a weird way to build a line to me in potentially the last year they have of Brees

I’m skeptical of the Peat contract but if the staff feels like injuries were the main cause of his play last year then I’m cool with that.

And they obviously weren’t happy with Warford’s play toward the end of the year and him going into the season overweight.

Plus he was a turnstile against Minnesota. Maybe he just fell off quickly.
