I agree. G Williams had so little to work with that his schemes reflected the desperate state of the Saints D. The Saints D is but a speed bump to the TD and it's been this way for some years.

This defense sucks. If our offense does not play lights out we lose every Sunday. Now I understand Greg Williams, his players can't cover, is front 7 get pressure, so blitz 11. It don't look so crazy now after seeing our players try to play a more conventional defense.

it's pretty apparent that we will have to outscore everyone on the schedule because our defense cannot stop anyone.... doesn't matter who it is or what they do, we can't get any pressure on the QB, we can't recognize a screen pass, we can't cover anyone..... it's just bad....
while the game isn't over yet, this certainly was not the type of half you would have hoped for after last week... teams have figured out that the best defense to our offense is to keep the ball as long as you can and keep our offense off the field....

And let's be honest: the saints D held them to only 2 TDs for the half. That is about average for the Saints D for one half of a football game.

This is the shitest defense I have ever seen in pro football, absolute joke, the DLine is so garbage that you can have a pro bowl secondary and they would still get torched. Just sad and then Brees gives them 7, just what we needed with out stout defense

Yes, Saints defense is absolutely pathetic. I am watching NFL RedZone cuz we don't get the game in Houston. Every play shows Cam looking like a world beater just like RG3 looked last week. Wow! Just pathetic.

If Carolina scores a TD to open the half we will most likely abandon the run again. Look forward to 50+ passes from Drew who forces passes to receivers who can't get themselves open.

No, not when the opposing offense does not make a mistake. When the opposing O plays well with no mistakes, the Saints D is going to give up points. You have to hope that it's only a FG, but, they ARE going to surrender points. There should no longer be any doubt about that.
Drew Brees's arm is going to have to win this game and the rest of the games this seaason.

The problem with this team is that when the offense is a 6 and not a 10 the dam won't hold. We need turnovers to compensate and when we don't get any we are consistently down by 8 points.
