One of the biggest regular season statement games in franchise history. Up there with the Monday night blowout of the Patriots in 2009.

Back when football was fun. 27 year old Drew Brees absolutely slinging it. God damn Reggie was elusive when he got into open field. That TD was similar to the TD he had against the Bears in the NFCCG.

Good times.

I will never forget the 09 Pats game - that was a fricking masterpiece on beating a teams arse up and down the field on all facets of the game.

Man I miss that so much. Those games were so much fun to watch. You just knew we had something special brewing. Drew had such a good arm then, and could put the ball wherever he wanted to. Some of the passes were high, or out of reach, but Henderson went up and grabbed em.

We were So balanced too. Karney at FB, Bush and Deuce pounding the rock. Ah, the good old days.....what I would give to have them back.

Drew getting hurt is the only reason he became a saint, Drew's arm being hurt killed the Saint in his last 2 seasons

Those throws are filthy. Brees used to absolutely rip it.

what was your reason for The 49ers playoff game in 2011-2012?

The rams no call happened right in front of me, and yet that 49er game is the one that really kills me. That saints team with colston, Graham, sproles and Pierre behind that line with peak Brees is the best saints team of all time and is one of the real missing rings in league history. Saints would have absolutely waxed the giants at home and pats in super bowl.

2011 def hurt more than 2018. That was the most confident I have ever been in a saints team heading into the playoffs. Would have been 2 rings in 3 years

2018 hurts more for me, but 2011 was a complete WTF on us. I get homerish, but I do believe we win the superbowl both of those years. Jmo.

I remember that game, but I forgot what a younger Payton actually looked like.

I liked how Henderson rolled into the end zone.

Had Mark Ingram not tried to pussy foot into the endzone on the last play of the game week 1 at Green Bay the Saints might have been the 1 Seed and not had to deal with Candlestick.

imagine how much different Brees' legacy is if he beats Brady in 2 super bowls and Manning in another.
