Well I was responding to the guy who was talking about Brees arm at the end of his career and blaming him for the playoff losses.

2011 against the Niners- Got down 17-0 early. Niners helmet to helmeted Pierre Thomas early to prevent a TD and force a fumble. Defense folded hardcore, not once, but twice late. Last second TD drive and the drive before that, Alex Smith ran for like a 35 yard TD on 3rd and 4.

So I’d say defense was the main culprit that year. As well as 2010 against the Seahawks.

Dumb arse Greg Williams playing straight man coverage on the final drive

He blitzed every single fricking down that last drive. He woukd shiw blitz and then bring it every down. I kept yelling at the tv to show it and then back off into coverage.

Damn idiot cost us a championship that year.

Had Mark Ingram not tried to pussy foot into the endzone on the last play of the game week 1 at Green Bay the Saints might have been the 1 Seed and not had to deal with Candlestick.

Yep, win that one and both teams finish 14-2. We would have had the tie breaker.

That saints team with colston, Graham, sproles and Pierre behind that line with peak Brees is the best saints team of all time and is one of the real missing rings in league history. Saints would have absolutely waxed the giants at home and pats in super bowl.

yeah, I think the most costly game from 2011 was @ the Rams.

the Saints had just waxed the Colts 62-7 on Sunday night football the week before.

The Rams were winless at 0-6 heading into the game and the Saints laid an enormous egg and lost 31-21.

Lost a game we no doubt should have won and the seeding in the playoffs would have no doubt been different.

yeah but wouldn't we have been a #2 seed instead of a #3?

we win that game we finish 14-2

San Fran was 13-3 that year.

I'm saying we would gotten a 1st round bye and then a home game.

The icing on the cake of the cowboys game was Payton calling the victory formation with plenty of time on the clock inside their 20. He didn’t want to embarrass Parcells

Saints @ Cowboys 2006

I remember exactly where I was when I watched that game. Cool and crisp evening. Watched the first half at my buddy's apartment before walking down to Murphy's bar in Gretna for the 2nd half. Got a BJ in Gretna Park from a girl I had previously went to middle school with and run into at Murphy's after the game. Not a frick to give in the world. Just wonderful, simpler days.
