I think Carr and Hooker both suck but would rather Hooker over Carr. And I really don't like Hooker at all. I think they're both "floor" players at a position you need a "ceiling" guy.

I think most said it here, that Carr is in NOLA for at least 2. So, are the Saints "fricked" if they move on after two? Or are they fricked after 1? Define fricked?

Tennessee runs a simplified offense that's designed for the college game. Certainly not one that you can take advantage of in the NFL.
Hooker completed 68.8 percent of his passes at Tennessee
9.6 yards per attempt
58 TD's 5 Int's
15-7 record as a starter in the SEC
at Virginia tech (different offense)
63.1 completion percentage
9.3 yards per attempt
22 TD's 7int's
8-8 as a starter
that's why I was wondering earlier if anyone was familiar with the offense that VT ran when Hooker was there.
Hooker completed 68.8 percent of his passes at Tennessee
9.6 yards per attempt
58 TD's 5 Int's
15-7 record as a starter in the SEC
at Virginia tech (different offense)

Theoretically true, as stated earlier, ONLY if they don't touch his $30M base salary next year.
Even then, we'll be pushing the equivalent money down the road to fit that $30M into our cap (we're already WAY over), so it may even out.
Most people defending the Saints' strategy acknowledge that a crucial component is not missing on signings. Carr is a mega-signing, so a miss would have equivalent impacts.

Watching ESPN yesterday there saying Minnesota could be picking Hooker at 24 so he probably won’t fall to 29 when Saints pick.

So a QB taken in the 2nd or 3rd round would have an extremely low cap hit; which could let a team move on from an expensive contract if the rookie out plays the starter.
There's a reason teams with an established veteran draft a QB. Worked out for the chiefs and eagles. Packers also, if Love plays well after Rodgers is gone.

This phenomenon (joke) is NOT uncommon - its actually a longstanding practice by NFL GM's.
I.E. chiefs (Alex Smith/Mahomes), Dallas (Tony Romo/Dak Prescott), Eagles (Wentz and Hurts), GB (Farve/Rodgers and now Rodgers/Love). All qb's drafted in top 3 rounds.
Having an established vet and drafting a potential replacement is pretty common actually.
Just wow to you folk. If we draft Hooker, obviously it means Loomis sees this model and decided to go for it. I mean, we already did it before, when we drafted Grayson and still had Drew.
And we almost drafted MAhomes.

This is one of the reasons Hooker is intriguing to teams, and also one of the reasons he could drop.

Richardson is a traits guy. A team could break him in early by having a package for him similar to what the Patriots ran in 2020: lots of QB power, lots of read option and mesh concepts. He is still very likely years - with an s - away from starting. The passing needs serious development but the ability is there.
