Jenkins retires and Mathieu still being available sounds like a perfect fit, yes? However from talks with my source to their sources (personal friends and former Saints players); Mathieu has no interest in living in New Orleans.

I of course told my source that Mathieu doesn't have to live in New Orleans, and I'm sure many Saints players don't live in the city. But at the moment he seems set on not coming here other than brief visits.

Disappointing news, but it is what it is. To be honest not many people I know would willingly move to New Orleans either.

I told my source that I hope a large guaranteed contract could change his mind. He responded with no comment.

If you have the space this year then you give him a payday. He is a game changing player and I don't say that because he played a few games in Baton Rouge.

Considering his past, I feel like it's a fair decision.

Has your source been right about anything else of note? Just want to know what type of sauces we are working with here.

Yeah I bet New Orleans is not the safest place for him. You know there are some jealous hood rats waiting to take his arse down.

North Shore? West Bank? Garden District? Are these places bad now as well?

You don’t have sources. Otherwise they would know that Sydni is the one that doesn’t want to live in Nola. Not Tyrann

This is a different source but my sources have come through with the Jared Cook signing along with several free agents the Saints weren't signing.

Clowns on here got mad when I posted about it and acted even more like clowns when I was right. Can't win.

I don't have any Saint free agency news since my guy no longer works with the team. Looks to be trying his hand at sports broadcasting.

Considering the fact that they spend most of their tine is in Metairie; I’d add Metairie, River Ridge, parts of Kenner, Destrehan… to the list questioning if NOLA is the only thing keeping him away

If true, I wonder if it’s New Orleans specifically or Louisiana in general. He could easily live on the Northshore or something.

Most people who’ve left that I encounter it’s the latter though. New Orleans is actually an alluring part, but no interest in living in Louisiana any longer for a multitude of reasons.

That is pretty easy to guess at given the odds of a player not signing with a team.

He has publicly stated he wants to coach at LSU when he’s done playing in the NFL.
