you do realize every QB payton "liked" that we drafted never played for us and couldnt even find a job on the PS and got cut from the team right?
payton saying he likes a QB is a reason to not draft them, because he is terrible at talent evaluation

Ya he is so bad he was trying to avoid bringing attention to that guy in Lubbock so he could draft him. Thank god KC traded one spot in front of us to grab that bust.

If there is one thing we know about the Saints, they will trade everything to move up a few spots in the draft. They have told the story a few times saying that they were fine with either Lattimore or Mahomes, which didn’t age very well.

Mahomes went 10th, clearly there was some doubt about his success. You guys would've lost your mind if the saints traded up one pick on draft day.

See this is where you run into the problem. Every post one slobbering over Payton's cock, thinking he is some quarterback guru and didn't attempt to trade up for mahommes but apparently you cant fault him for that but he can trade two first for Davenport whom most "experts" think we should cut ties with after the season because he can't live up to his draft status. These are the same people that keep thinking Sean Payton will come back to the saint after a year off. He screwed out team with the trades, draft picks and the way he quit. We need to start a TD ky fund for them

The glaring difference between these QBs that none of you will admit it that CSP like Mahomes as a replacement for an aging Brees.
The rest of these QBs were never looked at as a replacement for Brees. They were taking a chance on 3rd tier QBs hoping maybe that could be a quality backup and if you struck Tom Brady gold then all the more better.
None of those other QBs would have been on his rader if he was looking for a QB to take over the franchise. Period.
Now was it a waste of a pick to get them knowing they wouldn't be starters when the team had other needs, that argument can be made solidly.
