Payton has been a. Great coach, but he wasn’t infallible.

I know many of you are distraught over his retirement, but despite his great success, Payton was a very flawed coach and it cost his team’s numerous opportunities at a championship.
That doesn’t take anything away from what he accomplished which is amazing and nothing most here ever expected from this franchise, but the defense has ironically carried this team the past two seasons.
There is great coaching talent out there, and the Saints could make another run with the right moves. Sometimes things just get stale and it is time for a change.

He was more on than off but he had some traits that made him lose some games for sure. But again, he won a lot of games and his edge made him great for a long period of time. Ask the Falcons if they would rather him or any of their coaches and they would take Payton every time.
I didn't particularly like his conservative nature when he didn't have Brees but I understood what he was trying to do.
There will never be another Saints coach as good as he was. It was truly the golden era for fans.

He wanted to get out of the shithole that is New Orleans. I can’t imagine having to move about in that city and look at filth all day. It also doesn’t help that a legit retard is running the city so far into the ground that it’ll soon reach the depths of hell.

He won one superbowl 13 years ago. Of course he is overrated by saints fans. They overrate everyone on the team. Jameis Superbowl, we'll get 2 firsts for Kamara! Just morons.
