#Saints DE Alex Okafor survived a scare at practice today. Following his MRI after what appeared at first to be a serious injury, Okafor has just a bone bruise and a sprained knee, sources say. This is best-case scenario for New Orleans and their key pass-rusher.

Maybe a blessing to give Davenport and Hendrickson more work? I don’t recall Davenport having any injury issues in college, so hope he just had some bad breaks to start out his pro career.

Agreed. Hell, sit him the first game. Sprains only take about a week to recover from. I have no idea about bone bruises.

You just rained on a lot of beat writer’s parades. There’s nothing more that gives them happiness than reporting bad news.

He could miss the Bucs and Browns game. Would be awesome to make full recovery and return for Falcons. That would give him about 40 days recovery.

Thank you sweet baby Jesus, up in heaven watching baby Einstein videos, learning your shapes and colors!

To quote Saban in that epic gif someone posted in the last thread: "Stay the frick down!"

I hope to God were smart about this and rest his arse. Hendrickson and the gang got this!

They need to shelf his arse until at least the first week, of not the second week of the season. A sprain can be a bitch. There is 0 reason to rush him back against our first two opponents.

Yeah getting the youngsters reps in the next few preseason games is a good thing.

People kinda forget how young this squad is

Must mean he got rolled up on instead of how they originally said Peat fell on his knee.

If it was his ankle they may have feared his Achilles tore again originally.

If that's the case then it's better than a knee sprain/bone bruise, but it could still linger. Easier to play through the pain I imagine than if it was a knee.
